I read this from www.purehealthpatch.com (under the research section....)
"Cell phones damage DNA. Aulterra research demonstrated that cell phone radiation causes a characteristic change in the shape of the DNA helix as measured with a photometer. This effect was repeated and confirmed using cell phones from different manufacturers. Similar effects were seen whether the phone was actively transmitting or in standby mode."

"Cell phones disrupt the bioelectricity in the body which can be measured by several devices which apply a weak current to the body and measure the immediate response. "

"Cell phones increase the temperature of the brain as measured using thermography"

Sounds very scary to me....since I let my children use cell phones :(

Prove the following theorem is true: “The diagonals of an isosceles trapezoid are congruent.”

http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f283/mystalkingshadow/?action=view¤t=05_08h_06a.gif

Given:
Trapezoid EFGH with bases FG and EH
FE is congruent to GH

Prove:
EG is congruent to HF

I took a shot at this question and seemed to be wrong. My teacher left me this feedback and the answer I came up with had slim to no sense of the question. Mind helping?

INSTRUCTOR COMMENTS:

Hint. Use the distance formula to find the length of the diagonals FH and EG. ( See lesson 1.05 for help with the distance formula.) Then compare the lengths of EG and FH.

I know that the gravity of the sun and moon cause the tides, the energy that is required to cause the tides must be taken from some where else, where is it? Is it lost from the sun and moon some how? I'm thinking maybe the moons revolution around the earth is slowing or something like that. What about the sun? Thanks for any answers.

Please let me know if the following is correct, or where I am making invalid assumptions:

1. Larger (by piston volume) piston engines are always less fuel efficient than smaller engines of the same design.

2. The reason larger piston engines are less efficient is that larger pistons (and related mechanisms) sweep larger surface areas and therefore have higher friction loses throughout their cycle.

3. For a given piston volume forced induction will always provide more power per unit volume, all else held constant.

4. Therefore, forced induction engines can always be more fuel efficient than naturally-aspirated engines that are capable of the same power levels.
