I was sitting in a car with my wife at a red light. As I was waiting I was just casually watching people letting my eyes drift as one normally does without thinking. My attention was drawn to a man that was slightly oddly dressed for the day...a long overcoat with collar turned up...fedora on his head...and a slightly funny gait to his walk. Nothing too strange but just enough to draw my attention to him. He was walking beside a brick wall and all of a sudden he turned to his left and stepped into the solid wall. I turned to my wife to ask her if she had seen it too but was cut short by her question...she said...."Did you see what I just saw?" I said..."There must be a doorway there that isn't visible at this angle...but we both knew it to be untrue. The light turned green and we advanced and sure enough...the wall was solid brick...no way for a person to step out of sight...and yet he did.
Explanations anyone?....and "NO" we are not "weirdos" or "drinkers".

I need to find the derivative of x^x based on the definition of derivative. Using the limit as h->0. (f(x+h)-f(x))/h I know the derivative based solely on information but i need the step by step derivative based on the definition of derivative taking the limit when h goes to zero. Any help?

I'm capable of dividing and doing quick addition, multiplication, square roots, and detect prime numbers without calculating anything. I sense a image like picture of the number out of what seems to be entagled static, which itself feels like nothing more than a poofy thing tat clouds my mind, and the number simply appears.
It's more of a feeling that each number has, and it's almost indescrible. My brain feels funny after doing anything relating to it.
It's not memorization, I wouldn't be asking this question if it was. Are there other people who are able to do this?

Just need a good explanation to see where I am going wrong.

0.05 M CH3COOH

So, CH3COOH + H2O --><-- CH3COO- + H3O+

Ka = [CH3COO-][H3O+] / [CH3COOH]

But isn't [H3O+] in this case (10-5) assumed to be 0 for these calculations? Is there a way to do this without using [H3O+] = sqrt(Ka*conc.Ha) ?

I was trying to figure out if I could calculate it using the Ka formula above.
