3 seperate generators fields connected to 3 seperate motors fileds -- each field is 120 degrees apart

phase A
phase B
phase C

all connected on the same motor and/or generator shaft

The alternating current is led into the motor via slip rings where it interacts with eltro magnetic fields and a repulsive force causes the rotor to spin.

I think you are referring to a 3-phase motor. Tesla has significantly contributed to 3-phase power generation, distribution and motor design. Please see references below.
