Why are people so suprised when their house keeps flooding if they live next to a quaint stream and all the rain absorbing fields around them have been built on.

Converting every inch of land into housing and tarmac road with very rapid rain run off straight into drains EQUALS floods. Hardly rocket science.

A wheel of radius 27 cm, mass 3kg and moment of inertia 0.10935 kg m^2 is mounted on a frictionless, horizontal axle. A light cord wrapped around the wheel supports an object of mass 1.9 kg. The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s^2. Find the tension T in the cord. Answer in units of N.

b) what is the angular acceleration of the wheel? answer in units of rad/s^2??

After 2 very successful trials of guessing marbles in a bag, I have proven to be clair voyant. (At least that's what the book says.) So now what? Is there anything I can do to benefit ESp studies and etc.?

I'm extracting hydrogen from water by running electricity through water and it worked but how do I prove that the hydrogen gas is released? is there any chemicals or indications can show that H2 exists in my experiment?

NOTICE that the chemicals or indicators have to be something that I can buy or create otherwise my experiment wouldn't maka sense....

Can an expert on the subject tell me if this is a correct hypothesis for the question above?

"The faster a gas can increase temperature/pressure, the higher the temperature estimated absolute value can be reached."

If it isn't, please provide me with something that can be written as a correct hypothesis to how estimate of absolute value varies with gas with a sufficient explanation. Thanks in advance! :)

It is a Telescience Telescope 30/60. At first I couldn't adjust my eyes to it but then finally when I was able to look through I saw things upside down and backwards. when I took the lense off it was the same thing. When I looked through the diagonal mirror it was the same thing. I have a faint recollection that this happened when I was in school but I don't remember how to resolve and the directions and looking online doesn't say anything about it - any suggestions?!!!
