2/3(x+8) = 6x
2(x+8) = 6x * 3
2x+16 = 18x
16=16x

Let's start with the 2nd equation first..
2/3 (x+8) = 6x
2X + 24 =18 X
24 = 18X -2X
Hence 16X = 24
X = 24/16 = 3/2 (or 1.5)
You canalso try for the first equation as,
4X + (6X-1) =3
10X - 1 =3
10X = 4
X = 4/10 (or 2.5)
