Are they're any scientists out there who have done the research and found that the universe is constant? after all the big bang theory is still just a theory. other than the big bang thoery what explanation do we have for the universe that can hold water with todays information.

Penrose and Hawking have shown that the universe must have its origin in a singularity.
It was also shown that all containing matter inside isn't able to stop the expansion by gravity.
therefor there's no more that much room left for an alternate theory.

Most scientists consider it an insult when someone says that a certain theory is "just a theory."

Despite what some may think, a "Theory" in science isn't some wild-assed guess that someone pulled out of a hat. A Theory is something that concisely explains observed phenomena, while also offering testable predictions that can be carried out with experiments and additional observations.

In many ways, a scientific theory is more true than fact.

The Big Bang theory is, therefore, currently the best explanation for all the data we've gathered from the observable universe.

The vast majority of astrophysicists agree that the Big Bang occurred, and we even know what the universe looked like with a precision of tiny fractions of a second after the Big Bang.

The Big-Bang it's no longer a theory, it is a fact.

It's been demonstrated that the universe it's expanding by looking Doppler effect in galaxies. We have also found the electromagnetic spectra of the explosion that make our universe.

Don't get confused, it's like thinking that the relativity it's still a theory...

It was a theory (when it was purposed), but now it's scientific fact.

Hello Armond:

I think that the Universe is expanding. Most scientists and astronomers agree that distances between the various objects are increasing, and optical measurements have confirmed this as fact.

Most astrophysicts seem to agree that the universe is expanding and will eventally die as things move too far apart from each other. As a resource, check out the book "Death by Black Hole"
