Along time ago one of my friends told me that the rings on the cigarette paper was gunpowder to keep the cigarette burning. Is this true? Wouldn't inhaling gunsmoke be deadly? Is that what makes cigarettes deadly, if it is true? I didn't know what other category to put this under. I tried Google searching, but to no avail.

I am running a summer camp for kids aged 8-12 and the theme is related to espionage, kinda 007ish. i want to build a safe fake bomb for them to disarm, but i want it to look realistic and to actually react ("blow-up") if they pull the wrong wire or push the wrong button or something... baking soda and vinegar was kinda messy and not a big enuf explosion, and mentos and coke would be too hard to set up to look like a bomb... i'm lost, PLEASE HELP!

In the movie Clockstoppers, the main guy has a watch that speads up his molecules so that everything else appears to not move, although it is moving, just very slow by comparison. Since the human body would burn out by actually moving that fast, what would be the theory behind the bubble you'd need to create to seperate you from the normal flow of time?

Have you ever wondered? If it's raining in New York and not in New Jersey, exactly where does the raining end and the not raining begin? Is there a place where you can take a few steps one way and be out of the rain, and just a few steps the other way will put you right back in it... you don't have to take this last part seriously but I'd really like to know how it works.

The tapes are labelled and obviously contain recordings of a psychiatrist's sessions with his patients. I am very curious to listen to them. On the one hand, the psychiatrist was negligent in just throwing them out in the garbage. On the other hand the little voice in my heads says it's wrong for me to listen to them . Should I listen to the recordings or destroy them?

I am looking to buy a decent telescope and don't know where to start. I am looking to spend around $300 or so. I would also like to know if there are any out there around that price that have the automatic finding capability. (download info from the net and put in coordinates to find stars)

I'm very afraid of lightning. I always sit in fear of a lightning strike when it rains like crazy. I saw a very bright lightning bolt along with a very loud cracking sound right out side of my window last night. It was the closest one that has hit so far.

I've also had a dream(nightmare) that i was struck while i was walking to my car. In my dream it felt like "i was shocked by electric" thru-out my whole body, and i was thrown about 8 feet off the ground. I laid there while my body kept jerking and twitcing. It was so weird!
