If you notice an increase in the number of floaters, you should see an eye doctor. This can be a symptom of retinal detachment (loss of peripheral vision is another symptom). People who are very myopic (near-sighted) are more prone to this. An eye doctor can dilate you eye and check the retina for problems. Good Luck!

Please check this website.. It has very good information for that. I suggest whether or not you should see a doc to just do a check up. You will never know is it serious or not. Like the website says "This sometimes causes a small amount of bleeding in the eye that may appear as new floaters. You should see your eye doctor immediately!!"

Floaters are tiny floating bits of protein "floating" in the jelly-like stuff your eye is filled with...
They are generally harmless, although I presume they can be a problem if they are too numerous or too big. I think that's why optometrists ask about them and look for them in your eye exams.

Floaters; now tomorrow or the next cloudy day, go outside lie on the lawn and look at the sky. You will see your floaters as if you were looking into a microscope. Now look just past the floaters and you will see millions of little swirly things. What are they?

They're typically called "floaters" and they're bits of cells or clumps of gel that are drifting through the fluid in your eye. They tend to follow your vision because what you're actually seeing is the shadow that they cast on your retina.

They are floaters and very annoying; they really make you nervous when the sun is real bright and they are very distinct in front of your eyes. It is wise to see an opthamoligist to have them checked; mine explained to me that they are not serious unless you begin to lose your peripheral vision; please have them checked.

I don't have health insurance, I'm gonna get fined out the *** for it too. Health insurance doesn't heal anyhow, not a good comparison.
