First of all the chance of getting hit by a lightning is really really small especially when you live in the city. Lighting tend to hit the point on earth that has the lowest electric potential. If you need more detailed explanation look it up at wikipedia. org
that said. the chances of survival when hit by a lightning is very slim. the few people who had survived a lightning hit were not hit directly but were only by ricochets. and they were all badly burnt.

properly at the same time as a killing curse misses someone in the books, it frequently leaves the outdoors it touches cracked. So apparently at the same time as a killing curse manages to take someone's' existence it is going to leave no distinguishing marks yet, it dose look to have countless rigidity at the back of it. be conscious the way it ought to't be blocked with suggestions from any retaining charms. So i'm guessing that even if the curse rebounded lower back in the route of Voldemort, Harry develop right into a minimum of damage adequate to receive a scar. it is also an striking plot gadget for Rowling because it gave the major personality an rather diverse characteristic, and it also linked Harry to Voldemort at the same time as it damage, probable because the rip in Voldemort's soul and Harry's scar were led to with suggestions from an identical spell.

Burning is the most obvious, but lightning can cause neurological injury, affecting all 3 parts of the nervous system.
* Brain – Neurocognitive changes, sleep disturbance, personality change, seizures, learning disability, postconcussive headaches, nausea, attention deficit, distractibility
* Autonomic nervous system - Regulation of blood pressure and cardiac response (positive tilt test results, dizziness, hypertension), GI insult, impotence, sympathetically mediated pain syndromes
* Peripheral nervous system - Chronic pain, sensory problems

I knew someone in high school that got struck while we were in 10th grade. He was very Catholic, quiet, conservative, etc. After he was struck he became gay and flamboyant. No joke!
I knew another guy in college that had been struck twice. I didn't see anything noticably wrong with him. Weird how they say if you've been struck once you're more likely to get struck twice than other people.

I know a man who got hit by lightning. It hit his arm and went out his leg. They had to amputate the leg because it did so much damage to it. My cousin's uncle got struck in the head by lightning. It killed him, of course.

You could get badly burned, lose a limb, be paralyzed, have a seizure, have a heart attack, etc. Anything that electrocution will do, lightning will do.
