has anyone ever had a zhumell telescope. i am interested in the 8 inch but never heard of this company?

I have not seen one but reports on their 8" dobsonian look positive. Good places to get information and informed opinions are the Yahoo telescopes group and the Cloudy Nights forums.

I've never heard of them until now, either. A quick search shows a lot of hits. They seem to cover a lot of areas, kids 'scopes, eyepieces, photo adapters, rifle 'scopes, etc.

You might try the astronomy magazines and see if any of them have done a rating guide that has included Zhumell. Also check with any astronomy group.
