Okay ladies...here it is. I had my regular period Aug 3-6 then started spotting Aug 18-25. Thought it was implantation bleeding and had a blood test done. My level was at 2 which they stated meant I was not prego. Since then I have had tingly nipples, ordor issues, nausea, tired all the time, very moody and urinating thorugh the night. Is it possible they tested too early? I have had 3 previous preganacies and I recognize the symptoms. Does a level 2 blood test really mean I am not pregnant? I have never had this happen before and I still have almost e week before my period shouold start again. I went for a second blood test again but according to the rule that Hcg doubles ever two or three days, maybe it is still too soon. Arrggg. HAs anyone had this happen and still ended up prego? I just started TTC & I have been reading about checking your cervix, CM, BBT, etc. for signs of fertility. I have been checking myself for a few weeks now and just need some experienced women's input.

Could someone graphically describe for me how an open cervix feels different than a closed cervix?? How large is open? Does a closed cervix still feel "a bit open'? Descriptions like size of pencil lead, stirring straw opening, drinking straw opening, lifesaver hole size opening, etc. would be wonderful!!

Actually, that's not a question. That's the truth. I see lots of women on here saying things like, "I'm 35 and having trouble getting pregnant." It pains me to read because I want to answer, "You should have started 15 years ago!"

Of course, I would never say that; I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad. I feel bad for these poor women, because I know it's not their fault. Our society went from one where kids got married right of high school, and started having kids, to one in which we wait until 30 to get married and 40 to try to have kids.

It boggles my mind. As an intelligent woman I know women want to go to college, have careers, meet a nice man, get married, spend some time together, then have kids. But, as a Biologist, I know us girls are supposed to be having babies in our late teens/ early 20's. Truly, there wouldn't be this many women with fertility problems if they started trying to have kids earlier.

::sigh:: I have no solution. Anyone else?

Wh most woman do not know this I do not know. It should be taught in health. I have 6 kids and can tell you it is not the length of your period but when you ovulate is when you get pregnant. During each cycle you have a white discharge ( this is the temporary cap coming off your tubes) then this discharge turns to clear. That is when you are ripe. This discharge helps guide the sperm to the egg. It is only a 24 hour period during the month that you can concieve. If you have sex during these times you will get pregnant .If you don't notice this then it could be happening during your period and the blood masks the discharge so you will not see it. however you are still fertile. I hope this helps woman out there trying to concieve and this isn't really a question but feel free to comment.

i dont know whats wrong every month i have my period regualry and then i check what days i am ovulating me and my husband try everyday that i am but im still not pregant we have been trying for the last 4 months and all my pregancy test say negative.
i am ovulating this last couple of days and me and my husband have been trying none stop i just dont know what else to do to boost my chances of becoming pregant im starting to panic if theres something wrong with me or my husband???
please help?

I must admit I'm on the fence with this one. But someone started the debate at dinner that the inability to conceive for men and women is nature's way of ensuring that the weak do not continue their heritage lines, so natures way of continuing the survival of the fittest.

I brought up the question of surely we shouldn't treat cancers or other diseases in that case, but the point came across that many diseases were caused by humans whereas creating another human life was very much left to nature.

Whats you view?

I was on the depo shot for 3 years and came off it about a year ago. We have been ttc for a few months now with no luck. Has anyone been in the same situation? any success stories? I just need to hear something positive as I regret taking it now after all the things I've now heard.....

On my 1dpo my cm was creamy but today I'm back to an egg white consistancy....is this normal? We BD'd last night to be safe...but I didn't have much cm yesterday and it was just creamy...which doesn't sound right....any advice as to why?

Period due today. Took First Response test. Test says you should receive a result within 3 minutes. Very faint pink "positive" line showed up after 3 minutes. I know you're not supposed to read the result after 10, but this was after the alotted time. The faint line did not show up immediately, but was present at the 3 minute mark. What do you think?

I am extremely nervous about getting mine done today... I go in at 4:45. How long does it take for the results to come back?

Also, I am 4 days late. I have been having really bad heartburn, gassey, and I just don't want to eat even tho I'm hungry. These are the same symptoms I had with my first pregnancy. My first pregnancy I also had pain in my boobs, I cried all day long! I had a miscarriage in April and I didn't have any pain in my boobs, which I figured I would because they are so huge (lol) and I am not hurting now.

My temperatures have been rather high since ovulation, but today my temp dropped quite a bit. My tests are negative. I've been told that I could be testing too early.

Do you think I am preggers?? Please let me know, and any advice or info is welcomed. :o)

Ok ttc for month #4 Went to the doctors office today and had other labs a few weeks ago all signs point to pregnacy.... had a test done today but it wasn't an HCG test my labs usualy say HCG quantitive or qualitve. this one is for "pregnancy SCR serum. Called in for results nurse only said they were normal. Sent a message to doctor but nervouse while waiting, has anyone else had this test done and what does normal mean?

I went to the doctor yesterday to get a blood test done. It came back negative, but i feel pregnant, so i took a home test today and it was faint positive right away. Am i pregnant? Anyone with a similar experience?

All right I need women to help me on this question from there experience or someone else they might have known not stuff from a website. Anyways Thursday I am going to see my Fertility doctor to get a hysteroscopy done to remove a fibroid small tumor he found from my ultrasound. Therefore, when I get pregnant I will not have a miscarriage. Then after he is done with that he is going to put me on clomid because I also have PCOS so it is hard for me to make a baby .Now my question is Has anyone ever had sort of the same thing? Has anyone ever gotten pregnant easily off clomid before and had PCOS? I am just scared it is going to be so damn hard for me to get pregnant because I have PCOS. And my husband and I really want a baby soon! Therefore, women please help me thanks!

I have taken tests 8/14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28 . two lines appear on the test at all times. The test line is same color as control line, but on the far left of the test line there is a darker line (about 1/3 to 1/4 darker line) what do this that darker line mean?

I called "answer" hot line and they say that dark line has to be 1/2 to be considered fertile..so i am confused to why that line is like half of that. although, on 18,19,21 that dark line pretty much stands out from all the other test but not up to 1/2 of the test line like they say




i usually run 18-24 day cycles today is day 21. so wouldn't I be ovulating closer to when I get my menstrual period or shortly after it ends????

Well I just wanted to know, should I stop hoping for this month? I was on Ortho(the patch)...on my week off I got my period Jul 30th. Then I never put the patch back on. I ended up having another period August 13th. Now I've been trying to get pregnant since July...but I don't know if I've even ovulated or not...I haven't kept track of my CM....I just started reading about it recently on here. So, I don't know if it's even a POSSIBILITY of being pregnant? I don't even know when my period should be coming since I had 2....this sucks :( BTW I tested twice in the last week got both negatives.

ok..this is wierd. I had a LH surge on 14DPO (Positive) . Lighter LH on OPK on 15,16,17.18 DPO. On 19 DPO, I saw another surge. 20DPO LH is lighter than 19 but darker than 18 DPO. I know something wierd is going on. Have a doc visit tomorrow. These are the questions I have for you.

1. To see if I ovulated or not, what are the tests that I can ask the Dr. to consider taking?
2. Is the ultrasound of the ovaries done vaginally or can it also be done trans abdominal?
3. What other blood tests can I ask her to take. She already took a Total & Free testosterone, H1A, Insulin, Prolactin everything came out normal. My DHEAS and ACTH were slightly more than normal, but tests for my adrenal glands came out fine.

Any assistance is great.

my husband and i have been trying for another baby but nothing. well my last period was june 24th i have had symtoms but cant be sure. i cant really tell if my breast are tender seeing that i still breastfeed my 23 month old. so dont know what to do and to scared to take test and not be is there another way of knowing?

My loved one would like to do it but we know little of the process. How long does it take? What is the cost? We'd like to do this as soon as possible as she is 49 and I'm afraid she'll begin menopause any day. Your help and your experience is so appreciated.

I will be carrying the embryo as I am younger. If this doesn't pan out we will of course utilize my eggs but I love her so and would prefer to use her eggs if they are viable. I feel it will also be a way of making it feel more natural for her; since I am carrying and nursing she will at least have the knowledge that she is the biological mother. I want our child to have her personality, her beauty, her heart. To carry a little someone inside me with half of her DNA would be the greatest blessing in the world.

Yes, we will use a sperm donor.

A guy that I work with is starting In-Vitro fertilization treatments with is wife soon.
He is out of days for time off from work. He tried to apply for FMLA to take on the days he needs
to go to the doctor with his wife. The denied him. Supposedly she has to incompacitated and need his assistance
for him to take off from work.

Has anyone else been through this... He is desperate for advice on this.
Is there any loop holes?
Please help.

Okay.... i ovulated on the 24th and the 25th... me and my hubby had sex the 24th, that morning.... and on the 25th that afternoon.... could i be pregnant??? I hope!! I just had a miscarriage on July3rd.... so... just TTC again.... but when can i test??? What is the earliest??

I have a 28 day cycle. I have been temping about 3 months now, and I notice that although I get a positive opk on cycle day 16, (also on 17....) my temps don't rise until day 19. Does this mean that my lutela phase is only 9 days, or do I count from the day I got a + opk????
I don't know whether or not I should see a doctor for this. Some people have advised me to. Any experience with this??
