On my 1dpo my cm was creamy but today I'm back to an egg white consistancy....is this normal? We BD'd last night to be safe...but I didn't have much cm yesterday and it was just creamy...which doesn't sound right....any advice as to why?

This is pretty normal. When the egg is released the follicle turns to a corpus luteum and starts producing progesterone which signals the cervix to stop producing lots of CM. However, often times the corpus luteum produces a bit of estrogen as well in the beginning and estrogen is the hormone responsible for fertile CM, so basically, your cervix is still being affected by estrogen, which should drop down very soon, and your CM will go back to creamy or dry.
About a week or so after O estrogen rises slightly again, and this can cause another slightt patch of fertile CM. Nothing to worry about, but good for you for paying such close attention to your body!
