I went to the doctor yesterday to get a blood test done. It came back negative, but i feel pregnant, so i took a home test today and it was faint positive right away. Am i pregnant? Anyone with a similar experience?

I would say you are pregnant. Wait a few days and test again if positive see your doctor for another blood test. There is a higher chance of getting a false negative then a false positive. Good luck and Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is very uncommon to get a false positive, but very common to get a false negative. If you got a positive hpt, I would say that you are pregnant. Blood tests are usually more accurate, but you never know. You should read the directions on the hpt because there can be a few factors that can give you a false positive. If you do not meet any of those, than I would say you are. Call your doc back and get another test done!

I had the same expierence when I was pregnant with my daughter. My first hpt had a very faint line, but my blood test was negative. I waited several weeks and had another blood test and it said that I was about 4 weeks pregnant. So the first urine test was correct. Usually if it is positive then it is not false. Only if you are taking a medication that has the pregancy hormone in it like fertility pills.

Ok having a sore throat is not a sign of pregnancy! I would have thought that the blood test from the doctor would have confirmed it one way or another so if that's negative then I would say that you are not pregnant. I think all the "symtoms" you are currently experiencing are of you thinking or hoping you are pregnant, you are obsessing about this way too much now. Just do as the doctor says and wait a couple of weeks...if you are pregnant you will still be pregnant in 2 weeks

Most likely you are. Blood tests while requiring a much smaller amoutn of HCG will only count FULL units of it. Home tests accumulate even partial, broken up units. Wait a few days, call you doctor back tell him you now have a positive home test and would liek another blood test.+

You are probably just implanting so that today is the first day your levels went up.
