My husband and i have just started trying to concieve our first child and we are going to start taking Vitamin and mineral supplements to hopefully enhance our chances..
I am unsure whether we should be taking specific pre-conception tablets or if just a regular multi-vitamin (like centrum) would do the same thing?

Anyone out there with some advice on this?
and if you have any other tips on ttc, they would be greatly appreciated. :)

Our cat died. My husband had the cat for one year(the cat was 2). i have known the cat for 2 months because i only lived here for 2 months.
I love the cat, i cried when he died . My husband had/having a breakdown... something so innocent dying...etc. We are not religious but he doesnt
believe in anything after this, while i do, i think the kitty is still with us and so on. I have had to deal with my moms cancer
and a granparent dying all b4 i was 18, so i am more prepared to accept death then he is. But he cries all the time, he drove for 2 hours
with the neighbor ( it was her cat at first) to get some photos of the cat from someone that had them on a cell phone. He ordered
books about the afterlife etc etc etc. This is all fine, except for, he is always at work, or at law school, when he is home, its
all about the cat, look up some headstones etc etc etc. I am ok with him crying, dealing with this and so on, but i am not ok with the
fact that i am pregnant, first time around, and quite frankly i feel lonely. I am tired of being the stronger party. I want him to be the man.
He wont even have sex for 40d/40n . He is going to drive 2 hours to the pet cemetary tomorrow and wake up at 530am to do it.
I am frustrated. I think he doesnt even know how far along i am, i feel he is emotionally not connected to me, but more connected to the cat.
I can understand grieving a loss of a pet, but i am f. pregnant and i have a cold, and i cant take any cold meds. It has been 10 days
sence the cat died, i have been sick for the past 3 and this is really when i started getting annoyed, instead of staying home with me
making me some tea, or watching a movie with me, he drove two hours for cat photos.

Am i just being a pregnant b i t c h? i dont want to come off that way and i will adjust if it is the case, but i dont think i am being
unresonable. I have a lot of understanding and support for him, but how can he possibly understand what i am going through ... he cant.. and
he is not even being there for me.

Probably going to get a lot of upset people as this is a hot button issue, but oh well.
Are you for or against abortion? Why? is it or is it not killing like some say.

(I am a guy, so I'm not pregnant, and don't have a pregnant wife/girlfriend, this is just a question)

I need to get it down. I think my tummy muscles have seperated to accomodate the baby. What exercises can i do?

I dont think my belly was this huge first time around, although i am not sure. I thought i would just have a paunch! Most women's paunchs start at the lower part of the abdomen, while my tummy bulges from the very top. I amnot being melodromatic - it reall is very big.

However i did gain a lot of weight AFTER the birth of my first child, however i thought i lost some of that during pregnancy ( i tend to eat better when pregnant cos naughty food makes me ill)

PS I am breastfeeding so I cant diet and its very hard find time to go jogging with a 2 yr old and a 2 month old!! So bear with me!

Every woman has had their OWN experiences but not many have had enough of them to lend criticism to others. Some women get flat out angry at others who do the slightest thing "wrong". Like consuming a bit of caffiene.
What do YOU think women should and should NOT do while pregnant?

I had my first ultrasound yesterday. I am 5 weeks, 2 days. They were only able to see the sac which they said was what they expected at this early stage and to be happy that my sac and hCG level were where they should be at 5 weeks. They said that in a week, they may be able to hear a heartbeat. Yet I've heard other people say it can take up to the 8th week until the heartbeat is found. I'm a chronic worrier and I'm wondering when I should go for my second ultrasound? If I wait too long, I'll be worried during the long wait. If I go next week and they can't find a haertbeat, I'll be worried too and stress over a possible blighted ovum. I hate being like this. :-( What would you recommend as a good time to go for a second ultrasound, especially for a worrier like me?

Hello! I am 26 weeks and 2 days along with my first pregnancy...a little GIRL! :) Anyway, last week I felt really, really strong kicks, so much that I could see them from under a sweatshirt I was wearing and my husband could feel and see them clearly. However, this week, particularly starting on Sunday, I have experienced a sharp decline mainly in the intensity of these kicks or punches, even though I still feel her on a regular basis. I am just a bit concerned, and probably a bit of a worry wart, but I was just wondering if any of you have experienced this and if it is normal. I would call my doctor but they are closed now. Additionally, I have been waking up to a sharp pain on my lower right side. Could she have turned and be possibly sitting there?
