Pregnancy - April 2007

I was just looking for some opinions and experience with the different types of birth control options out there and what worked best for you?
I am 38 weeks pg with my second so i know i need to start looking into my options so was just wondering...
-i know everyones bodies are different but in the past i haven't been to successful with pills (like yasmine, or ortho tri cyclin lo and a few others) because they either make me sick or breakthrough bleeding to much. i refuse to try the patch again b/c i got pregnant with my first on it. IUD's seem to risky, b/c if i do become pregnant than there are alot of risk. what's your guys opinion, what has worked for you. I am not looking for anything permanent b/c we haven't decided if we are going to have any in the future, if we do it won't be for another 4-6 years or so (we have a 2 1/2 year old and one due on the 22).

this is kind of personal, but my period started mar. 16 and i had sexual intercourse( unprotected) on mar. 24. so is there a possibility that i could be pregnant??? i have symptoms but i want to make sure of the possibility before i jump to conclusions.

k im 5 months pregnant, been alchahol free for 5 months so decided to indulge in a can of beer,,,, why has it gone to my head already?????????? usually i can drink 6 cans before i start to feel the effects, anyway im sticking to two cans, even though it is going straight to my head what effect would it have on baby as it is still below the advised alchahol limit in pregnancy?

I am having twins girls and I am stumped on what to name one of them. One name I thought of was Amaya and I am sticking with it, My name is Amanda and I want something that compliments it. Does anyone know any names that are cute and go with Amaya and compliments Amanda?, doesn't neccessarily have to rhyme.....

I found out I was prego last Oct. and felt horribly sick with nausea and was super tired all the time, but then in Nov. I had a miscarriage. Now I am 7 weeks prego and I don't have any syptoms at all this time and I'm scared. All the things that you can read about tell me I should feel this way or that and I don't!!! Help!

I'm 5 days late & I had a tubal done when should I take a home test? I already had a ultrasound yesterday 4 a cyctis the tech didnt see any baby in my tube.

I am about to go through with an abortion ( which im havin as im 17 and have no job and no home my partner is studyin and he is also skint , so its the right decision for both of us and the child) , but i was wunderin whether there were any sites to talk to other people that have gone through with an abortion , I have already got a counceller due after the abortion I just wanted to here from other people. I'm 15 weeks 6 days pregnant and just saw the doctor the other day. The babys heart rate was 154 the doctor said that was good but the babys heart rate was 170 a week agos. Why has it gone down?? Is something wrong??? I'm worried about my baby. Please tell me whats going on.

I am 18 years old and am expecting my first child. My other half is 20. We are both healthy with no problems or disorders. On both sides of our families are all healthy and no babies that have been born on mine or his side has any birth defects or other disorders or any other problems with genetics or history of birth defects in our families. We are all healthy and clean on both sides. What I would like to know is your oponion about getting the CVS or Ammino tests done or other extra tests that are optional during pregnancy. We both don't feel they are nessisary but I would like some other opinions.

I just heard about the passing of the mucus plug today, I'm pregnant with my 4th and never heard of it, I never expirienced water braking on my own, they always had to do it in the hospital, When I go into labor I take a real long time + most of the time I'm laying down so I dont see much.

N-E ways I'm 35 Weeks pregnant l want to know when the passing of the mucus plug occurs? How do I know? All I know is that is a covering of the cervix that keeps infections from entering the uterus or something like that. After I have the passing of mucus plug, can I have intercourse???

Im not a big drinker at all. But, I did get drunk a couple of nights ago and was very sick afterwards. Im now three days late on my period and was wondering what effects I could have had on my unborn child if i am pregnant. I would only be a couple of weeks pregnant if I am, but I know that drinking isnt healthy for babies. Do the effects of alcohol on babies increase as they grow bigger? I just hope i havent caused serious damage if i am pregant. I couldnt live with myself.

This might be a tad tmi, but I'm 17 wks pregnant w/my second baby. It hurts so bad when my husband & I have sex. I am in tears by the end...I remember having a little discomfort last pregnancy, but never this much. I'm waiting for the doctor to call back, but in the mean time...does anyone have any input? Is this normal or is something wrong?

My best friend (4 years) got pregnant and is 7 months. it happend last sept. or oct. and she didnt tell me until january. do you think she is scared of what i mite think of her? Everytime i bring up something about the baby she always changes the subject. do you think she could be in denial? if she is so far along shouldnt she be getting things together for the baby?? by the way is keeping it!!! and she naming it after me!! im happy for her, i guess i just need some outside help!

ok. my cycle is definitely Late. im already into the end of the second week on my b.c pack..in fact im almost at the END of the second week. NO period in sight. i have been on these pills for many months--my cycle is so routine, i can almost pick the day out on the calendar. lol. so pretty much i should have started 2.5 weeks ago.
[it's getting to the point where im a little worried now.]
im not hard core stressed, and nothing has happened that would make me Not have a cycle, so im wondering if i should make an appt with my doc for a bloodtest, or if i should just go by the over the counter pregnancy test that told me i was Negative??
i really need advice, it is Much apreciated.

I am 11 wks pregnant. I am also a diabetic. I found out not to long ago at 9 wks that I was expecting. I do not have diabetes in the case that I have to take insulin. My doctor says that since it's early, the baby should be okay and if I continue to watch what I eat and take care of myself, my baby should not have diabetes. But I know that from the time of conception, everything that enters the body goes to the baby. I'm a little worried. Can someone please tell me what they think?
