ok. my cycle is definitely Late. im already into the end of the second week on my b.c pack..in fact im almost at the END of the second week. NO period in sight. i have been on these pills for many months--my cycle is so routine, i can almost pick the day out on the calendar. lol. so pretty much i should have started 2.5 weeks ago.
[it's getting to the point where im a little worried now.]
im not hard core stressed, and nothing has happened that would make me Not have a cycle, so im wondering if i should make an appt with my doc for a bloodtest, or if i should just go by the over the counter pregnancy test that told me i was Negative??
i really need advice, it is Much apreciated.
:]

You can get a false negative with an OTC pregnancy test, but not a false positive (case in fact, I had three negatives with my first pregnancy). Stop taking your pills, and make an appt. ASAP with your doctor! Today or tomorrow, in fact. If you can't get in to see him/her fast enough, check the yellow pages under "Abortion Alternatives", you'll find listings in your area for places to get FREE pregnancy tests that are the same kind your doctor's office would use. OR you might be able to get a blood pregnancy test at your local county health department, but only if they offer it there. Best thing, stop taking your pills, and see your dr. right away.

Oh, and BTW, that first pregnancy was also while I was on the pill. As soon as I suspected I was pregnant I quit taking them, even though I didn't get a positive test until almost 4 weeks later! Good thing I quit, too. Those hormones can mess up your pregnancy, and your baby.

Good luck!

There are so many things that could go wrong while on birth control...it is just a hormone pill that obviously interferes with your natural hormone levels to keep you from being pregnant, however, my son was a direct result of me being on the pill for two years straight...in FACT...I worked for the gynecologist that first prescribed my pills then later delivered my son! So, good luck and remember its always important to maintain a close relationship with your doctor while on any meds, but a blood test is the only sure way to check if your are pregnant besides an exam, the store bought tests are pretty close to perfect; however, pretty close isn't good enough when you need a yes or no. GOOD LUCK!

Hey hon if I were you I would go to the pharmacy and buy a pregnancy test just to be sure. If in fact the test comes out negative then for sure you should make an appointment with your doctor to find out if something is not right okay? Good Luck!

It's a big possibility your preggers. The bill isn't 100% and if you are regular and now you've missed 2.5 weeks. The pregnancy test you took, you may have taken it too early. Try another one in a week or go to doctor. But teh nipples, dead give away.

you should go to teh doctor and have thier test done.

Ok since you have had sex theres a chance you could be pregnant. No form of birth control is 100% effective. IF you are pregnant the birth control pills could be harming the baby. So my advice is GET OFF THE COMPUTER AND GET TESTED NOW!

I am wondering when you did the home test? I would suggest trying one today if it wasn't really recent. if that is negative, then you probably are not pregnant and it's just a coincidence that you missed your period. the sore nipples can be a side effect of your hormones being messed up.

Just wondering why you are still taking the pill....

Take another OTC test and see what it says or call the dr. The negative from the first OTC test could have been to early to detect.

Go see your doctor. That way you will get tested by them & you can talk to them about the results of the test.
Good luck, hope you are OK with what you are told.
