First how much did you pay for it? Did you like this book and what was your favorite part? Was it helpful?

I paid $12 for it at Wal-Mart. It was well worth it. Great book. I liked the whole book in general. The questions asked by real people in it, that correspond with whatever week you are, is probably the best part.

When I found out I was pregnant with my first child I bought it right away and it cost me $13. I personally enjoyed the book and it did have some helpful information. I enjoyed seeing where my baby was developmentally every month. The downside is that you don't know what's going on from week to week so once you've read the information for a certain month there is no new info until the next month. Now that I'm pregnant with my second I do look through it from time to time.

I got the book from my doctor at my first visit. I personally did not like it at all. Like some of the others, I loved your pregnancy week by week. I could read a short amount each week about what was happening to me and the baby at that time instead of what was going to happen in the next 3 months. ( and i could always cheat and read ahead if i wanted to!). If you dont want to purchase a book , you can also get the same info online - google pregnancy week by week and you should find the info.

Hope this helps

I didn't read that, but now that I had my baby I'm reading What to Expect the First Year. It is really good, but a lot of the information is outdated, it's kind of an old book. When I was pregnant I just went online to ivillage.com...they have a great week by week thing, tons of articles, etc. Congratulations!!

I really like this book. I find it to be very informative and though some people may say it "scares" them, I can't see how it does. There's nothing scary in there, it's reality and very good for first time moms. You can also view the pregnancy week by week online but having something that you can pick up and refer to is nice. Enjoy and take care!

Mine was $13.95 at Barnes & Noble. Yes I loved this book. The whole book was my favorite. Yes it was helpful. It's not really for multiples though. Heidi Murkoff is a great writer. She has many books out on pregnancy and parenting.

I think the calculations of their trimesters are off. But they have questions in there that most pregnant women would like to know. When I found out I was pregnant, it is the first thing I bought and I read it every day!!!!!

I got two free. One for signing up for a lactation program and another from a friend. Now I have them on my upcoming rummage sale.

It is very helpful, I used it a lot with my first.
