Those are almost exactly my numbers! My son was 171bpm, then the next visit, 154. Nothing wrong at all. The heartrate will slow as baby grows. Also, your baby could have been sleeping during the 154 rate and very active during the 170 rate. Don't lose your head, things are fine. Best of luck.

Well, you should always ask your doctor whenever you have any questions. But a normal fetal heart rate at this stage is anywhere from 120 bpm to 160 bpm. Perhaps the last time your baby was moving around alot and excited, and this time it was more settled and calm?

Don't worry! 154 bpm is perfect.

There's probably nothing wrong with your baby. Most babies heartbeats start out real high and as they grow they slow down or drop as in your case. Mine too just so you don't feel alone. At the start of this pregnancy my baby's heartbeat was between 169 and 172; now I am 20 weeks pregnant and it has dropped to 142-144, and the baby is fine:) Good Luck and Congratulations on your baby!

If your doctor says everything is fine then you need to trust their judgement. My baby's heart rate was very fast at 180 BPM and the last time I went in it was 155 which the doctor said is great. The target is between 140 and 175 so you are fine!

the heart rate drops as the baby gets bigger.

good luck! God bless!

Please don't worry yourself!! It's hard, I know. Heart rates vary every single hour/day/month so do not worry. Your baby has a good, strong heart rate. I would begin to worry if it was under about 120, and just as long as your Doc says it's good, then there is nothing to worry about:) You'll see as you go to the Doc that the HR is always different. Good luck!

The later you are in your pregnancy the lower the babys heartrate gets....it's nothing to be worried about. At 9 weeks the babys heart is like 190bpm, around 12 weeks it's 170bpm, and so fourth.

my babies heart rate was 155 and when i talked to the doctor it went up to 169. I think it depends on your movements. The baby almost knew i was the mom and got excited to hear my voice.

it is very normal for the heart rate to go down the further along you are... it can go as low as 120 and still be good!
