Pregnancy - March 2007

l am due march 27and my doc told me today that if l did not give birth befor my due date that l will be induce march 28,l have no health problem and baby is perfectly ok.IS MY FIRST PREGNACY and l thought you are induce when you have a problem with your health or is it because l told him that l am tired of being pregnant?

My hubby and I have been using the pull-out method a few times in the last month. I had my period last week but it was only two days long, after that just a tiny bit of 'brown' i.e. old blood for a couple of days (gross, sorry!). I am normally much longer and heavier, it was pretty light. Anyway i didn't pay it any heed apart from a much older friend of mine (late 50s) who is a little pyschic believes I am pregnant or will be very soon ... what do you think? Serious answers please..

Can you get pregnant while on your period if you have sex more than once (like 3) and if you have irregular cycles would it be more likely to get pregnant while on your period? I know nobody is a Dr...and I have an appt on Monday, but I would just like some input...Thanks.

I am so in love with my new baby boy. I'm 23 weeks pregnant. Feeling him kick is so amazing to me. I can't WAIT TO HOLD HIM!!! I wanna kiss his little belly and cuddle with him and make him laugh. This is my first pregnancy and I had no prior miscarriages. So what are my chances of the possiblity of losing him at this point? Cause I would be devestated. He is the most important thing happening in my life right now. (Doctor said everything looked good.) But, I'm diabetic and I get scared.

I'm 23 weeks pregnant and steak is absolutely DISGUSTING to me. Also, chicken hot wings. They make me sick to the point if I smell them or see them I get nauseous. Those are pretty much the only things.

What is a good medicine that i can take for cramping in the front and back? I am not positive i am pregnant. I am go to take a test tomorrow. I jsut don't want to take the risk of takeing something that can have a high potentail of me miscarraging. I would ask the doctor but i don't have a doctor yet and my insurance does not go through till today so i will not be able to set up till later or tomorrow.

I have been eating just about anything and everything there is during my pregnancy. I love pizza rolls, pizza, shrimp, salmon, chips, cheese, mushrooms, fries, burgers, and everything else. And I eat so much! Still only put on 1 1/2 pounds and I am almost 14 weeks.

Why do so many peole say instead of abortion do adoption. I personally would never have an abortion unless my pregnancy was ectopic or something.. Do you knwo how many children were put up for adoption and still don't have homes, more than you think. so many people whish they could have children and cna't but not enough. too many kids are looking for home and are bouncing around in foster care. it is also hard to adopt a child conidering it costs a lot of money. and if abortion were illegal then there would be so many young girls killing themselves or getting back alley abortions and getting infections. and to those who say that woman whoes rape resulted in pregnancy they should still keep the baby. Think if you would truly want to go through life looking into the eyes of your rapist every day. it is not easy for someone to give there child up for adoption. in fact it's harder than abortion. Speaking from a woamn who is 34 weeks pregnant aand loving it

I came off the pill a month ago today, I was on the pill for 7 years, I havent had a regular period for 7 years so I do not know if the following are normal -

About 2 weeks ago my breasts were very sore and got larger, they have been like this for 2 weeks solid, also I feel tired all the time and have been going to bed very early, I am also urinating a lot more than normal. As I havent had a period for so long, I do not know when I am due. If I stopped taking the pill a month ago, and had the normal bleeding 2 days after for 3 days, when would I be due on my period?

I recently found out that I am pregnant, I used a home urine test, and I think I may be about 6-7 weeks. I have my first Dr. Appt. next week. I really feel like I am showing really quickly!! It is pretty obvious and I need different clothes already. However, I really don't "feel" pregnant like I did the first two times? I really have had no naseua, maybe a little more tired than normal- otherwise I feel pretty good. I am a little worried. Has anyone experienced this same thing????

Why do people assume when you post pregnancy questions that you are some middle school hoochie who accidentally got "knocked up"? Do people not realize that some pregnant women are mature adults who WANT to have a baby, not kids wh had unprotected sex and should be slapped on the hand?

Most questions about "could I be pregnant?" or "what are some signs of pregnancy?", including the ones that have no indication of youth or ignorace, have at least one answer that says something along the lines of, "You should have kept your legs closed, skank." Having a baby is not necessarily the accidental result of sleeping around.

If someone doesn't realize that some people actually TRY to be pregnant because they are MARRIED and starting a FAMILY, but that pregnancy can be a very exciting and confusing time for a woman (or her partner) and they may have questions or worries, then that person has no business answering questions about pregnancy. Anyone else notice this and agree with me?

My period was suppose to come on the 26th of Febuary, but didnt. I took two test when I was a week late but they both said negative. I sort of have a feeling that I'm pregnant because I have alot of signs like missed period breast are sore and i do have slight cramping but not really bad. So how long should I wait to take another test?

I've been noticing the differences in attitudes towards childbirth between the US and the UK. There are so many differences! All uncomplicated pregnancies and births are attended by midwives in the UK as a matter of course. In the US all care is provided by a OBGYN doctor and births seem to be more medicalised. In the US inductions seem far more common, especially between 37-40 weeks, whereas in the UK a healthy pregnancy would not normally be induced until after 42 weeks. I've also noticed that in the US even spontaneous labours are speeded up with the use of hormone drips and breaking of waters, seemingly far more often than in the UK. Attitudes to pain relief seem different also, with epidural anaesthesia seeming to be almost the norm in the US whereas in the UK it's usually a last resort. Home births seem far less common in the US also, why is this??

I just wondered if anyone else had noticed this. Why is it this way and which model of care do you think is preferable???

I have my first ultra sound today.
I have to drink 32 oz of water NOW.

I don't drink alot in the morning, and so far, can only drink about 16.

SUGGESTIONS????
