Can you get pregnant while on your period if you have sex more than once (like 3) and if you have irregular cycles would it be more likely to get pregnant while on your period? I know nobody is a Dr...and I have an appt on Monday, but I would just like some input...Thanks.

Although very unlikely to get pregnant while on your period it does happen.....generally women ovulate 14 days after the first day of her period....but it can also be sooner or later.

It doesn't really matter how many times you have sex on your period. The more often you have sex the less likely you are to get pregnant because men need a day or two to "recharge". When undergoing infertility treatment, couples are often advised to abstain a day or two before a woman's fertile time.

Generally speaking, women don't ovulate on their period. Having irregular periods wouldn't change that. However, some women can and do ovulate on their period and never know the difference. That is why it is possible to get pregnant on you period but unlikely.

You can get pregnant while on your period if you ovulate then. Most women ovulate 14 days after a period, but there are exceptions to every rule. Some do it before, and some after. Your best chance (my guess) to get pregnant with irregular cycles is to do it every other day after your period for about three weeks. I used bcps, then stopped for a period, ovulated right after, then got pregnant with my son. Good luck!

Yes you can get pregnant while on your period. Irregular cycles don't make you more likely to get pregnant wile on your period. It makes it harder to tell when you are ovulating though. You shuold talk to your doctor about birth control to help make your periods more regular. Generally you ovulate in the second week before your period.

I know a couple with 3 kids. The only method of contraception they ever used was having sex whilst menstruating! So yes it is possible!! Sperm can live for a while inside your body, so if you ovulate early in your cycle, it's possible to get pregnant.

Yes, you always have a chance at anytime. Sperm can stay in your uterine track for days. You should always be safe. Using a condom takes 10 seconds to put on. Or ask your doctor to put you on the pill.
