My hubby and I have been using the pull-out method a few times in the last month. I had my period last week but it was only two days long, after that just a tiny bit of 'brown' i.e. old blood for a couple of days (gross, sorry!). I am normally much longer and heavier, it was pretty light. Anyway i didn't pay it any heed apart from a much older friend of mine (late 50s) who is a little pyschic believes I am pregnant or will be very soon ... what do you think? Serious answers please..

I had the same thing with all three of my children. My doctor told me the brown stuff usually happens when the egg is planted inside the womb. Light periods are good sign you are pregnant.

You're probably not pregnant (get a test to be sure) and your body can't possibly know whether you will be pregnant or not. If you're only using the pull out method then you are pretty likely to get pregnant unless you pair it up with the rhythm method which is avoiding intimacy during the 2 days before and the two days after ovulation. This will decrease your chance of pregnancy but it's still not a guarantee. Use a condom if you want to be avoid pregnancy, or at least use the rhythm method in conjunction to increase effectiveness.

Using the pullout method as birth control certainly can land you into pregnancy. If you are not ready to be pregnant, I would try another method.
Your spotting could be implantation and the only way to know for sure is to wait until your period is late and test. Good luck!

The pull-out method isn't very safe, there can be live sperm cells in the pre-***. If you don't want to be pregnant, get a test now you can still do something about it (if you believe in early abortions). And use a condom or the pill or some other better method! No need to go with something so untrustworthy nowadays!

me and my boyfriend used the pull out method for a year and a half before we got pregnant. If you don't have your period next month take a test.

with the pulling out methed you can still get pregnant its still only 50/50 chance so get tested . good luck

renee take a test it would make ur mind more at ease if i comes out negative and u still feel weird do it again in a week good luck

I think your friend is correct. :) Take a test to find out for sure closer to the date you expect to get your period. Congrats.
