im 38 weeks pregnant and still havent lost my mucus plug im dialated to 2 cm and 70% effaced did all of you lose your mucus plug before starting your labor contractions? Do i have to lose my plug before ill go into labor? because im already dialated and effaced and since i havent lost my plug yet do i still have a long time do you think? please try to give me answers to all my questions well just your opinions and expieriences thanks soo much

My Baby seems to be tickleish. Everytime I or his Father rub in a certain spot on my tummy he go spazy and responds to it every time. I think that he likes it, because after we stop he keeps on kicking me there until one of us rubs that spot again. Then he get all spazy, fluttery you know? This can last up to 20 mins.I'm close to 32 wks pregger, Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience like this one?

my ob drew 2 tubes of blood from my arm last visit. she checked for down syndrome and other birth defects, her nurse called me today and said that the test came back abnormal. i had too much protein in my blood and now they want me to come in 2 weeks from now and do a level 2 advanced ultrasound to try and detect if there are any problems. i am so worried. have you had this happen to you and if so is there anything to worry about?

At what point do you need to start sleeping on your side during pregnancy? Is it bad if you don't sleep on your side in your second trimester? I can't get comfortable even with pillows between my knees and always end up on my back.

I am not asking what your feelings are on abortion or if you are prochoice or prolife or whatever. I already know what I am and how I feel on gthis very sensative subject. Im just asking if we didnt get to decide on being a woman than why do we say its our body our choice. why should we be able to decide if life lives or not? because its our body? Why do we get to mess with what makes us a woman? Im not saying you shouldnt I was just asking why do you think. Do we realize what a miracle we are capable of creating?

How did you feel the day before you went into labor and the day you actually went into labor,.. And is labor as bad as a lot of people make it out to be!! I know its all worth it in the end.. i just want peoples opinions and experiences..


* * I woke up with bad vaginal pains .. they were constant for about an hour or 2.. then just went away and i get them every now and then.. But Nothing to serious.. but all of a sudden.. I am feel so nauseous and feeling like im going to just drop dead on the floor.. I had Dhiarrea but it want reallly loose stools.... It took a lot out of me cause it was hurting my back a lot to even go... * sorry very open * And i jsut get the pains here and there.. but its hard to get up and walk around

This is a continuation of my last question. Over last week I had two + hpts then a negative blood test on Saturday at the ER(they didn't even mention anything other than that; but it may've been too early to pick that up from what my friends and doc said).I had been spotting/then bleeding/then spotting for a total of about 3 days (some red, some brown). I went to the doc's today and they took a urine test which also came back neg. They followed that up by saying that I had a miscarriage. They didn't take a blood test (would've been 4 days since the last one) or do an ultrasound or pelvic exam. If I was still preg I would only be between 21-24 days DPO/conception (it was determined that that was around the 18th of February). I believe them when they said miscarriage cuz I could tell something wasn't right the past few days, but I'm curious. Being that early along, would a urine test at a doc's office be accurate?And can they confirm a miscarriage with just a urine test and nothing else?

she has some red spots in her belly and also puked, in her puke was two drops of blood, is that something normal or wrong.

I have been trying for a baby and only come off the pill about 3 weeks ago. Over the past week I have felt quite sick in the mornings and then anywhere between 2pm and 4pm I had a home test done about a week ago and it came up neg. This morning I did it again and there is a definate but faint line there and exactly where it would supposed to be if it was positive. The line is thin though and not as thick as the picture that displays if its positive on the packet. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow to confirm but I'm concerned about it being thin and faint. The sickness I'm getting ls like I've eaten something rotton and I'm trying not to throw up. Could be a tummy bug???
One other thing I went to gym last night for the first time I felt stiff and a bit sore I had the urge to rub my ankles could this be fluid and has it anything to do with it? Ive been going to gym for years it was only yesterday

A good friend of mine is being induced at 5 AM, though it looks like she will probably go into labor before then. She has been a daily marijauna smoker for years, and continued using during her pregnancy. I have repeatly asked her to quit, even if only while she is pregnant. She still keeps smoking, and I know she smoked as recently as today.

As much as I am frustrated and concerned by her decision, I am also worried about what will happen at the hospital in the morning. Will they take her baby?

The "only" thing she will test positive for is THC and we live in Louisiana.

I am not excusing her actions, but at the same time my hearts breaks at the thought of her losing her child. I know it's too late to change anything, but she wants me with her tomorrow and I'd like to know what to expect.

I can't help but feel guilty because she is my younger sister's best friend and I know my sister is most of the reason she has continued smoking pot.

There is a girl I know and her son is 2, to this day she still feels like she was not being a real woman by having a c-section. To me, 9 months of carrying a baby around should be "woman" enough. What do you think, does having a c-section make you less of a woman??

I know it is common for the perineum to tear, but my sister just had the "inside" tear. Is that also a common place to tear? Also is there anything i can do, becides massage, to avoid tearing?

My Uncles (my mums brothers are twins)they had kids and none of them were twins my mum had 3 of us and we were not twins, i have 2 kids not twins and i was jus trying to work out who will have the next set of twins.

ok i asked my mom and a few friends about this and i dont know for sure what to think of the response but could i be losing my plug slowly at 25 weeks i feel a lot of pressure when i use the bathroom but other than the normal aches of pregnancy no problems just a lot of mucous in my panties and when i wipe this is my second pregnancy but i had a scheduled cecerean with my first over 8 years ago what does the plug look like? i have no blood!!

I had a C secton the last time and I am pg again. I felt thm cutting me and moving my organs around. The anasthesia
did not work and wore off not minutes after they began. I am terrified that I will go thru that again this time.Has anyone else know how I feel? I feel alone in this boat.

Alright, i am a first time soon to be mom of 39 years. I have never really had a weight issue, but I have gained 42 pounds with my son and I am 32 weeks along. The doctors are fine with my weight and havent fussed at all as I was very sick in the beginning and am now only gaining a few pounds a month. So, anyway......I presume a pound a week from here on out making me about 50 lbs needing to lose.
How much of this will I lose from baby, and fluids and etc.???
And the additional weight, everyone keeps telling me that baby weight is easier to lose than normal weight.
Is there any truth to this???? lol
And how long does it take with eating right and exercising to take it back off? I am going to breast feed too.

Help me out ladies.....am I in for a rude awakening? lol

I was just curious...
I know in order to qualify for it, you have to meet their income guidelines, but is your income based on gross pay or net pay??

Also, do they include overtime pay in the income, or just standard 40 hours????
