I could feel a lot of pulling and tugging, and it was very painful with my first pregnancy. Since then I have had 2 more scheduled c sections... Both of them were so easy. With my middle child, I was walking better the afternoon after I gave birth than I was 2 weeks after having my first. When you have a scheduled c section instead of a last minute or emergency c section because the baby isn't coming out during labor, you actually get a different type of epidural. I got a spinal with my last 2 pregnancy's, I didn't feel anything during the birth, getting the spinal this last time felt like they were scraping my back bones together but once it went in I was good.
Also, with your first c section, you were probably expecting to give birth the old fashion way... and were probably very frightened when you were told otherwise. You will have the entire time to prepare for this c section. I highly recommend doing it that way again, 3 c sections later, and I still want 1 more baby!

I have never had that happen to me as i had vaginal births but it must be scary to know that it might happen again...u may just need a larger dose then other women...if u are having another c-section i would tell them when u are ready what happened last time, this way they will watch u more closely and monitor the amount they give u to make sure u cannot feel anything going on other than the regular pressure feeling..good luck!

This is so crazy! A girl I work with said the same thing. She was yelling that she was in pain because she could feel the cutting. She made them stop and she was right. The doc had the anasthesologist to give her more anasthesia and then she was ok. At first the doc didnt believe her. If you feel anything, tell them.

your case is very rare. i watched a show about a lady that had to have a very emergency c-section and they did not have time for anesthesia. she felt everything and said if was horrible. i feel so bad for you. this time around, i would discuss your pain medication options ahead of time to make sure that the same thing doesn't happen again.

I have been given to journey my water breaking and the push to the wellbeing center and contractions. It grow to be only what i mandatory. using cutting-edge scientific subjects my wellbeing care expert has stated "stable situation you probably did no longer have a vaginal transport" so fairly all of it worked out interior the top and it grow to be what mandatory to take place for me and that i don't experience undesirable approximately it in any respect. As i grow to be mendacity with my head backstage and my hubby together with his face on the edge of mine we heard her little cry for the 1st time and all of us started bawling... and thats what its all approximately, no count number how the toddler comes out =] Having a c section is totally a distinctive thank you to offer delivery and there is not any reason absolutely everyone ought to experience undesirable approximately it... it only must be performed in specific situations. some women ask for the curtain to be decreased so as that they are able to observe and be extra a factor of the journey.

I never felt any pain with my c-section, but I could feel that they were doing something. It was like pulling and tugging sensations, but it was never painful in any way.

I could feel things going on, but it wasn't painful. Just discuss it with your dr., maybe you need a different anasthesia or a different amount?
