Totally possible that you are losing yours slowly. With one of my pregnancies I did that, though I was a bit farther along than 25 weeks, and in another pregnancy the whole thing came out all at once. I've never had any blood in mine either. So it could be that what you are seeing is slow loss of plug, or it could be heavy discharge.
As far as what it looks like, it's just snot really. That's so gross, but thats what it is, and that's what it looks like.
Good luck, keep in mind that all women and all pregnancies are so different, and what yours is like is not necessarily what someone else's was like.

Hi. mum of 4yo and 12wo.
Lost my plug with first labour and its just a big glob of jelly, with/without some staining. i didnt lose discharge at all with no 1.
But i did lose exactly what you are describing on my 2nd. i thought the same thing also. (about 27wks) it lasted for a few weeks. Ob/Gyn said that this is around the time that your hormones start messin about and that can increase your discharge... its gross i know, but in most cases perfectly normal.
mine did stop after a few weeks. still, if you are not sure, ask your dr. they can actually test what you are losing to determine what it is..
Good luck to you...... Enjoy.

First off a mucus plug is made of cervical secretions and when you loose it trust me, you will know it. Nothing like discharge.
Your plug is exactly what it sounds like, it plugs the cervix from any bacteria etc.. and when you loose it that means that you are dilating. I asked my OB about this today. I am dilated to almost 2cm but lost my plug 2wks ago when I was dilated to 1cm. The cervix holds it in and when dilation begins it comes loose and TA DA!!
Anyways, if you are only 25wks you need to call your OB and let them know and have them check you. Dilation is the beginning/onset of labor and you have a ways to go still. Alot of sights here will give you this same info. But make sure to call DR.

you will have a lot of discharge during your pregnancy. A mucus plug looks like a big glob of goo and has some blood in it like brownish stuff. i would ask your doctor though.

my advice would be not to listen to all these people on yahoo because this is a serious matter you need to see a doctor there could be serious consequences if you wait to long.so SEE A DOCTOR.because everyone is different one person can tell you wat there mucus plug looked like and a nother could tell you a whole different description

what you have is probably just discharge. my mucus plug looked like a glob of really thick hair gel. if you have never seen anything like it come from your body, it's your mucus plug. if you have, it's just discharge. lots of women mistake heavy discharge for their mucus plug.
