I was just curious...
I know in order to qualify for it, you have to meet their income guidelines, but is your income based on gross pay or net pay??

Also, do they include overtime pay in the income, or just standard 40 hours????

Thanks!!!!

They go by gross income b 4 taxes insurance etc I did not qualify and consider myself middle class about 40,000 a yr gross with a family of three ''one on the way'' you have to account for all income overtime included......good luck if you get medicaid or any other help you usually will qualify.

If you get medicaid income will not need to be verified b/c medicaid has already done it for them. If you don't get it then YES, the gross income amount on your check is the amount that they use. This is a form of aid obviously, I have it myself. Your income is based on a sliding scale for family size on whether you qualify or not, also the child's age is a factor as well. WIC will only help children up to the age of 5yrs old then at 5yrs they will no longer receive assistance. Also if you qualify for WIC, you may also qualify for public assistance (FOOD STAMPS) you may want to check into it. Don't even let anyone belittle you about it either, everyone deserves a chance! I am married w/3 kids and one on the way and we both work FT and still struggle. It's life and we all have to go through it with help or not. You can also call your local WIC office and ask them the income guidelines.
GOOD LUCK!!

They will base it off of your net income and will ask if you receive overtime pay. At least that's how it works in Wyoming.........I would assume it is the same everywhere though.
