I just went through this a few weeks ago. I forced down about 4 glasses of water that morning. My appointment was at 1:45pm and we had to drive 40 mins to get there. I just held it the best I could and as soon as we got there, I had to go so I did, lol. Just find a water fountain or vending machine at the doctors and drink. I don't care what anyone says, a pregnant woman can't be expected to hold water for an hour!!! My ultra sound was crystal clear and I even found out what I'm having. Good luck and don't torture yourself, lol.

Had this problem too and you know what they can not tell if you drank 32 ounces trust me I never did. And I had ultrasounds EVERY week do to being so high risk for premature labor. Just drink until your bladder is full and when its full drink a little more til you think your going to pee yourself. Do NOT use the bathroom after a few minutes of the ultrasound they will let you use the restroom.

just drink one big glass. Dont worry about it. The ultrasound will still work just fine. I dont even know why they tell you to do that because then if you dont get into the ultrasound immediately your dying from having to go to the bathroom while waiting. Its terrible. I have only done that with one of my pregnancies and I couldnt take it. With this pregnancy I never drank any water before any of my 7 ultrasounds that Ive had to do and they were always just fine. What you drank already should be fine. They wont know any different.

When I had to do this I couldn't after about 20 ounces I started to get nauseas and ended up throwing up... I started again and drank about 2 large glasses of water went in and told them what had happened... While I was there in the waiting room they had me dring another 16 ounces... It wasn't as bad that way. I had some about 40 minutes before getting to the office and then more when I got there...
Try breaking it up a bit... The worse part will be the need to pee!!!! Just stick it out... It is so worth it though, to see that little bean

To be honest do not drink what they advise you I was told to drink a pint and 1/2 by my hospital. I drank a 600ml bottle of water and when i got in for my scan he sed my belly was far too full so i had to go for a wee before he could continue. I advise taking a bottle of water and drinking it on the way to the hospital. only drink enough to make your bladder a little fuller not over full as you will have to empty half of it before he can see! Good luck

only thing you can do is keep drinking right up to the time of the ultra sound. That's what I did with all 3 of my kids. It's not easy to be told you have to drink X amount of water. Just do your best.

You drank 16 already?good !Just take a bottle of juice or water with you,and sip it,if the technician needs you to drink more water he or she will give you some, you don't have to drink it all now!sometimes it does not need to be exactly 32 ounces, all depends on how far pregnant you are!

Okay, I had my first ultrasound yesterday, and I was only 12 weeks. They told me to drink all that water...and then what did they do before they did the ultrasound??? They had me go pee in a cup. The bladder was no longer full. But no worries, we still saw my beautiful baby on the ultrasound screen!

You are going to have to pee soooooo bad!! you're supposed to drink 32 ounces within 15 mins but drink what you can!! Use the bathroom right away and then get to chugging. It's soooo uncomfortable but its worth it. Congrats and good luck with everything!

I agree, you have got to keep drinking even when you feel full. I had one and ended up with bladder spasms that really hurt, but soon went away as soon as I urinated. Plus, the babe's worth it, right *smile* CONGRATS!
