I think that is pretty normal. From what I've heard, the most famous pregno craving is pickles, which are vinegary.

I craved sausages and gravy with my first, and ice pops with my second, I'm 6 months pregnant now though, and haven't really craved anything yet.

If you ask some doctors they will tell you that you crave things that the baby needs, but other doctors say craving don't even exist, were just imagining it!!

When I first got pregnant, I had urges to eat ketchup straight out of the bottle. Disgusting, I know! I've had lots of other cravings, but I wouldn't consider them abnormal.

And throughout my entire pregnancy (I'm now 39 weeks), I have wanted beer. I crave it every single day! I don't give in to the temptation, but it's definitely been the most overpowering one. And I'm not even a drinker!

I will be 6 months monday and I don't crave wierd things...at least not YET. I am getting ready for it though. I heard almost all pregnant women crave something crazy like pickles and ice cream. Just the thought of it makes me want to puke.

No, I think I am the exception to the rule. I am 29 weeks and 4 days and I have not had any cravings. My appetite has not changed all that much. But when I am hungry, I am hungry... but I am not eating anymore than usual.. :( I was kind of looking forward to cravings...

I went through different spurts of cravings. For about a month I wanted nothing but captain crunch for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Then I got into an ice cream phase. Then I started eating ice like crazy. Right now, I'm 8 months pregnant and I can't stop eating frozen waffles.

It's just one of those things. Don't deny your cravings when you get them though, it just makes you cranky. :)

Good luck!

My wife had a craving for leather. Yep, that's right, leather. She didn't want to EAT it, per se... she just wanted to smell it... maybe gnaw it a little bit. She would go into a department store and stand in the leather wallets and purse section and smell them. She never did chew any of it, though the desire was there. We had a good laugh about that. Her doctor thought it might have something to do with being anemic (low iron), but she didn't have any problems. She also wanted Fruity Pebbles cereal.

It is very normal to crave things when you are pregnant. I've heard of many women craving salt and vinegar chips. I ate taco bell with an entire jar of pickles in my first trimester. Typically, everything is fine, with you and your body. If you start craving non-food items, like clay or chalk, then you need to talk to your doc about pica. Good luck to you.

I had the vinegar cravings too!!!! lol..
I would eat salads all the time just to get the vinegar. Oddly enough my daughter hates vinegar!! But she's the most sweet, kind hearted and gentle girl I could have hoped for (even at 14). Maybe it was the vinegar and if it was, you're going to have the most terrific child!!! ;o)

When I was preg, I craved Steak (not a big meat eater personally) but I would smell it a mile away.

I also craved bananna milk and blueberry muffins every day!

I never put onions on anything until my first pregnancy. My family went on vacation and I had onions on subs, pizza, whatever I could order that had oinions on it. Got home and realized I was pregnant. Been eating them ever since.

I also craved Apple Pie. Probably ate 3 whole pies over the entire pregnancy. But I didn't put onions on that ;-)

Congrats on your pregancy.
