I'm 23 weeks pregnant and steak is absolutely DISGUSTING to me. Also, chicken hot wings. They make me sick to the point if I smell them or see them I get nauseous. Those are pretty much the only things.

While I am pregnant with #2 I can say that I had no real food aversions HOWEVER... The posts on the beef aversions were interesting as I was told by my nurse practicioner that I could no longer eat rare meats while pregnant due to possible exposure of toxiplasmosis (the same thing you can be exposed to while changing cat litter box)...
Maybe this is the body's way of keeping you safe!?

Congratulations on your pregnancy!! :)

I made shrimp jambaliya(spelling?) the other night and I love that stuff... but while I was letting it simmer the smell crept up and left me gagging. It was the hardest thing in the world to have to spoon it out into plasticware after it sat there awhile. I had to stop a couple times and stand over the sink cuz I thought I was going to lose it. I hate the texture of most beef, too. When I get into my nauseous mode, though all it takes is seeing a food ad on TV and I'm almost throwing up where I am.

i'm with you! I exceedingly plenty hated each little thing approximately being pregnant (different than feeling the infant circulate). I felt terrible the whole time, i ought to truly consume something without it making me unwell and it become one hundred fifteen stages the final weekend i become pregnant. I sweated like a pig, I had a flavor in my mouth that become like something crawled in there and died, i become continuously constipated, my migraines have been given worse PLUS i finished up with intense preeclampsia and had an emergency C-section at 34 weeks. i think of my first infant is likewise my final. i might do it for him returned in a heartbeat, yet i think of i've got completed my reproductive accountability and am soooooo over it.

I had a feeling that I was pregnant when all of a sudden I bit into scrambled eggs and they tasted extremely gross to me. I had my husband taste them and he said they seemed completely normal. Still to this day eggs make my stomach turn. Sometimes so does meat, mostly it happens with Chicken. I've gone weeks straight without eating meat then all of a sudden I would get a craving for Pepperoni Pizza. It's really weird.

Early on I couldn't really eat anything except bread and crackers. I used to love avocado before I got pregnant and now I absolutely can't look at it. I can eat a little chicken but usually end up throwing half of it away. Steak is a little worse for me but not as bad as avocados!!

Edited to say: I used to love pastrami sandwiches and now seeing the Subway ad for pastrami sandwiches I feel like throwing up.

When I was sick, it was hard for me to eat anything. I pretty much stuck with soups and salads. Meats and seafood made me extremely nauseous. I couldn't look at them or even smell them. It's normal for that to happen. Whenever I got nauseous i took the preggie pops. Those help me control the nauseousness.

I am the same way. I used to loved chicken wings, now I cant even stand the smell of them. But I also used to hate steak, now I want it all of the time. In fact I never ate steak until now. I used to hate steak, its crazy.

In my first pregnancy I couldn't eat anything for three months and the smell of meat and onions would send me to the bathroom, but the oddest aversion for me was that I couldn't stand chocolate! I have to tell you how weird that was for me b/c I've always been such a chocoholic. That's actually how we knew I was pregnant, because I turned down chocolate at a party which immediately set off all kinds of alarms to anyone who knew me! Unfortunately for my waisteline, I got my taste back for chocolate with a vengence after she was born.

Meat (any kind) and Green Vegetables. I used to have meat, salad, and vegetables for dinner every night before I got pregnant. Now the thought of pork chops or baked chicken grosses me out. I force myself to eat the vegetables because I know they're good for the baby but I nearly puke when I eat brussel sprouts or choke down asparagus.

Untoasted Wheat Bread makes me sick. The smell is horrible. It's so weird because normally I don't like white and right now it's all I can eat.
