Had a miscarriage on 1/11/07. No period before becoming pregnant again. Not sure when I ovulated. HCG levels taken on 2/21/07. Going for ultrasound tomorrow. Twins do not run in my family and I have not been taking fertility drugs.

My boyfriend and I are both white...I LOVE the name Jackson Avery. (I'm 21 weeks pregnant with a boy) and I've liked that name since before I got pregnant....BUT, my boyfriend thinks the name Jackson reminds him or sounds "black"...He's undecided on the name because of that reason. We've both agreed on Avery, but I don't think it sounds "black" at all because Jack is the short form of that and that's so opposite. I really dont' care and I love the name...so, what do you think and what are some ways I can convince him this name doesn't sound "ethnic".because it doesn't and who cares!?

went to see the consultatant at hospital today and the fetal heart-rate is 149 beats per min. Now we have a boy and a girl so there is no preference for us as to what we have so long as its healthy. However for fun we have been winding each other up constantly about the sex of the baby...he says Girl, I say Boy!! Anyway when they told me the heart-rate I seem to remember someone saying that a boys heart-rate is slower than a girls? (know its not something to rely on) but just for fun...what would this heart-rate supposedly indicate? Boy or Girl!!! Thanks guys x

I am 31 weeks pregnant and woke up last night with pains in my pelvis. It felt almost like period pains going the whole way around my pelvis. The pains are gone today so I am definitely not in early labour or anything! Are such pains normal?

At 10 weeks, I had an empty fetal sac, no baby. I had a D & C yesterday. I'm really concerned that I won't be able to have any more children since I had this procedure. Has anyone ever become pregnant after having a D & C and if so, how long did it take to become pregnant? I'm really worried, I'm 38 and I don't have much time left on my biological clock. We only have one child currently.

I am considering purchasing Aflac's Sickness plan specifically because our health insurance at work doesn't cover maternity. The policy has to be in force for 10 months before they will pay anything, so I am planning WAY ahead of course! But, I'm wondering if it is worth my trouble. Has anyone submitted a maternity claim to Aflac? And if so, what types of things do they pay for?

Since about 2 months ago I have had this thing pop up on my arm. It looks like a mole but bright red, I tried to drain and it just bleed and did not go away. I am seeing a dermatologist this afternoon, but I was just wondering if anyone else has had this. I have also had lots of skin tags, which I never had before pregnancy.

My husband and I have decided not to find out the sex of our baby (we both like surprises). Some of the fun of this approach is hearing everyone's old wives tale on how to tell if it's a boy or girl. For example, my mom told me I'm having a boy because I'm still too pretty and girls supposedly take the "pretty" out of you. (I think she was just being nice to me!) Anyway, these are all in good fun - what old wives tale do you have to share with me so I can guess the sex?

Have you noticed as soon as you find out your pregnant, everything in the world is talkin about pregnancy. Since i found out, every show is about someone pregnant, all the baby and pregnancy ads are all over the tv and billboards. My male co-worker just found out his fiancee is have a baby and another of my co workers maybe preggerz. This is weird

I am 18 weeks pregnant and I do ALL the housework, I'm not complaining, I am a stay at home mom so it's the least I can do.But my question/problem is...I HATE doing dishes.I absolutely despise it.So I ask my husband to do them, for a few weeks he has been doing them (we have dishwasher so he doesn't have to work too hard) But he has been complaining every single time he does them.He does work but he is a Tap auditor and 95% of his time is spent sitting in his Van.I don't ask him to do anything but the dishes.Am I wrong for asking him to do them? He doesn't do anything else, he doesn't even change our daughters diaper.

When your pregnant, when in labor, after the kid is born, missing his/her child first step, first words, first day of school. The reason for my question is because my husband just got this new job and he have to travel once a week out of everyMonths i'm 16 weeks pregnant, we never been a part for more than 2 days. What can i do to get my mind off this ****.

I "might" be pregnant and I stopped smoking for the time being untill I found out for sure. My hubby and I, are trying real hard to concieve. It is too early for me to tell since we only tried the last couple of days. However, I did give up smoking (YAY) a week ago. I read somewhere you should avoid coffee while pregnant. Since it's too early for me to tell, can I still have my regular cup of coffee in the morning? Or should I give it up this early?
