Pregnancy - February 2007

Ok so i live in CA and am 9 weeks pregnant. I just recently got a subchronic hemmorage and they labeled me as simi high risk, that is if the hemorrage doesnt go away. Any ways i really dont want to work during my pregnancy and my husband doesnt want me to work. The problem is i need to work because we need to pay the bills. Is there anything i am do, can i file for unemployment while im pregnant. Is there anything i can do so that my baby is safe and im not working but so that my bills are paid and we have a roof over our head. You have any advice?

Most of the treatment I have seen on the web suggests just taking pain meds. That it'll clear when it's ready. But I could find nothing on the condition as it relates to pregnancy. I know the two don't go together. Fairly sure this is leftover from a bad chest cold. But worried about how this might complicate things being that I am fairly far along.
For instance, one thing I know is out because of my pregnancy is ibuprofen. One of the pain meds suggested to treat the pleurisy.
What would other mothers, doctors or nurses recommend?

ive heard about the pain too by friends n family...but is it always painful? im 31 weeks with my 1st child! n im really scared...also do u start feelin the contraction right after ur water breaks?

Hi. I am 35 weeks pregnant. Today I have been having alot of gas pains. Usually I only have 1 bowel movement in a day but today it seems like these gas paing are making me want to go. So far it has been 3 times today. Is it do to the baby sitting on bowels or something?

Hello my name is Branigan and i went to the doctor today and they told me i was having a threatning miscarraige. I am 6 weeks pregnant and im not having bad cramping at all. My hgc levels are at 200. It is the next day now and Im still bleeding but not cramping. My husband is in the military and our tricare wont cover my bill and i dont have a car to get on post. When will i know when i actually pass the baby or if i even do. I know i most likely am having a miscarage because my hgc levels where so low.

I have seen the heartbeat on the ultrsound but I haven't heard it. When can you hear the heartbeat?? This my first so it is new to me. I also was just told I am high risk but the dr. didn't really explain why, I asked several times and was told repeatedly I need to be referred to a high risk OB, but it's been over 2 weeks and I haven't heard anything about a referral. Can I just find another dr. on my own?? Anyone been through this before?? thanks for the kind comments in advance

I am about 3 mths. pregnant and I told the guy that I have been seeing in Dec. He has 2 kids already and doesn't want anymore of them, which he has made clear from the beginning. I am only 20 and he is quite a bit older than me (10 years) and there are other complications as well. But besides the point, I feel like I will be letting my dad down, and a lot of other people as well if I have to tell them. I know that the guy that I have been seeing wants me to have an abortion and I have an appt. In a few days, I don't know what I want to do and I feel like it will be too late if I wait any longer. I also travel a lot for my job (about 3.5 hrs. every monday and friday) and it will be hard to do that with a child. I just wanted some opinions on what some outsiders think other than my girlfriends which all don't like the man that I am involved with. Thanks!

well im trying to get pregnant and me and my fiance did it the day after my period like twice and he came in me both times then we did it a couple more times that week and its been a week since that and my pierod isnt suppost to start for another week or so... is there a chance that i could be.....and i wanna know wats the possiblities that iam.... plz help

I'm 35 weeks and this is my third pregnancy. With each pregnancy I've felt great physically, no aches or pains, no discomfort, I'm still light on my feet, I don't waddle, have never had pelvic pressure and don't have any complaints. Are very pregnant women supposed to feel miserable, not be able to function without help from others? Because with each pregnancy I keep hearing "I can't believe you can still drive...live off of 6 hours of sleep a night...aren't waddling...aren't complaining...don't feel like a lump on a log...are light on your feet...haven't gained an enormous amount of weight." I guess I should be grateful I've had 3 very easy pregnancies. Has anyone else felt great up till the end?

I'm 36 weeks along and for the past month when I've went to my doctor I have been measuring abour 3 weeks ahead. My doctor was concerned a bit, so she ordered another gluclose test ( which came back negative ) and an ultrasound to see if I had too much fluid ( which my fluid level was good ) but on the ultrasound it showed that my baby was weighing in at 7 pound 8 oz already. My orginal due date is March 11, but the ultrasound tech said she came up with the date of Feb 28. Has anyone else had this happen? If I still have 4 weeks until my due date, my baby will be 10 pounds before she is even born!!

I meant to ask at the hospital today, but it went flying out if my mind when i was given a scan to make sure the broken rib wasn't pushing down in any way. so it meant i had another picture of my baby!! lol. anywayz, i was just wondering if the broken rib meant i couldn't have a natural birth as maybe the pushing would cause more damage or summat. i'm 28 weeks today! 12 weeks n counting....bet she'll be late!

I took a test in January as I was appx 10 days late and when I went to the doctors I was given a EDD of 5-6 weeks going off the first day of my last period which would have been 9 Dec 06. However, having thought I was now 9 weeks pregnant I have recently been for my Early Ultrasound and they believe I may only be 4-6 weeks, it was hard to tell as it was so small (sac 12mm and crl 2.2mm) and they could not see the heart beat. Could this be right as I am now freaking out that something could be wrong. They have arranged for me to go back in 2 weeks where they said it should have grown alot since then and I should be able to see more. Has anyone else been through this? Should I be worried? Why are the dates taken from the beginning of your last period when in fact if all of this is correct then I conceived at the end of my cycle which is putting me appx 3-4 wks out and I'm now having to go through all of this anguish!

We had sex and obviously used a condom, I made sure to squeeze the tip and release any air inside it. We had sex, and before he finished, he pulled out even though he was wearing a condom. After he pulled out, we took the condom off and put it off to the side. He was laying on top off me and we were both cuddling on the bed. When he got up off me, I noticed that his penis had leaked more semen onto leg and around my vagina. I checked to see if it had gotten onto my vagina, because I was already and wet and couldn't tell. My boyfriend said it smelt like lube and probably wasn't the sperm. I've had my peroid every month since I was 12, just not on the exact day each time. I get PMS too. So if I have mood changes and sore breasts, am I PMS'y or pregnant? We've had sex since then and I've bled, but was that implantation bleeding or because we just started having sex and my vagina is stretching?

I've had a UTI(Urinary Tract Infection)since Friday. I even had to go to Labor & Delivery over it. I know "Yahoo Answers" doesn't compare to the doctor but, I was just wondering. Can having a UTI make me go into Labor? I was at my doctor's office this morning. She said I was 50% efface, the baby's head was down, my cervix is still closed and she said next week I would probably be dilated to 1 centimeter. Has anyone ever went 4 weeks before their due date? My sis in law went 2 weeks but, I don't remember what "effacement" she was or anything. Just need some opinions. Thanks so much.

My sis in law is 37 weeks pregnant, she has just called me for advice, she has had diarrhoea, she has an achey tummy and back and is sweating.
I have told her that i think its very possible that she is starting in labour, having had 2 children myself, although i didnt have the sweating, anyone else experience this please?
