There are reliable adoption agencies in every community. Check the internet or the phone book. You and your sister can talk to a counselor there who can give you advice on all parts of the process: how to tell your parents, how she can think through her decisions. Being a parent at 14 is an option, abortion is an option, but making an adoption plan is often the best for everyone.
Be calm, be strong, both of you. This is a crisis but not the end of the world. Help is out there. Reach for it.

A parents nightmare...14. Hmm, that is just so young. I have 5 kids myself. They range from 4-19. My younger sister got pregnant at 15. I got pg at 18 (unwed, didn't marry the father either). My sister told my parents along side her boyfriend. Who, incedently, lived with my parents. His parents were bad parents and he came to live with mine when he was 15 & my sis was 14. I wrote my parents a 10 page letter explaining my own personal experience. What all lead up to my pregnancy. I was raped 3 days after my college classes started in my dorm room. If you can't tell your parents b/c they "blow up" tell an aunt, uncle, grand parent, teacher, someone who is above the age of 21 you can trust to act in her best interest. Good luck!

First of all is she sure that she is pregnant? To be absolutely 100% sure she would have to see a doctor. Like everyone else, I would say you should tell a parent OR a trusted adult who will help your sister get through this tough time; because being pregnant at 14 is tough. My advice is to ask your sister to tell your parents before you tell them yourself; she may already be working up the courage to tell them. If she needs support just let her know that you will be there. You could offer to tell your parents with her.
BEST OF LUCK!

I know it may seem hard to do, but you really need to tell your parents. She will be upset with you at first, but in time she will understand you was only doing what is best for her. With being so young she can many difficulties especially hiding it. Allot of things can happen to her and the baby. It is best to get prenatal care right away, also being that young she is going to need alot of support and guidance. You will be setting a good role model for your sister by doing the right thing and going forward to your parents. Be brave and take that first step for her!!!! Good luck!

I think any girl who gets pregnant out of wedlock should pay a tax on the pregnancy. THE SINGLE CAUSE OF POVERTY IN AMERICA IS SINGLE PARENTHOOD! People. Hollywood has failed you. Please wait until marriage to have sex. One mistake can cost you your life (HIV) or your way of life (Unplanned pregnancy)!
Since the safest contraceptive is only about 97% effective, would you take a loaded gun with a safety mechanism and pull the trigger while it is pointed at your head????
God made rules for a reason. Not to ruin your fun. But to protect you from your own stupidity!

You should talk to your sister and help her find a trusted adult to tell, preferably a parent. If she refuses to talk to an adult within a week or two, you must tell a trusted adult, like your mom or dad.
Since both of you are scared, you should talk to her and support her, but she must have medical care for herself and the baby. Please be brave and make sure your sister has the adult help she needs. Good luck!

Tell her to tell your parents or else you will tell them yourself. This way you have not broken her confidence and the problem will be somewhat resolved. Your parents are the adults and should be the ones to decide what happens next. After all she is still a minor.

if you have a grandma , or a grandpa , go tell one of them and let them talk to your parents , Also , Don't ever Blame her or abuse her , it might cause her a nervous break down in this critical moments & try to calm her down & take care of her as much as you can ,,, Also ,, Keep it secret & don't tell friends & neighbours , it's just not good at this moment and can stress her down ,, Just you and the Family ..
you also need Professiona help .. Go see a doctor for advise
God Bless & Good Luck

Have her call a pregnancy help clinic in her area. They can help- but yes she needs to tell your parents. Does her boyfriend know? Support her like never before.
