I ate kidney and liver - yes folks I did - when pregnant the 3rd time. And before everyone goes on about how irresponsible I was - I knew ALL the facts and it was occassionally and it was in moderation and it's full of other good things and I gave birth to a healthy 9.5lbs and all 3 of my kids love sheep's kidney, liver, heart and sweetbreads, although the last part is by the by but I just put it in so folk would go urgh!
I did look it up on the internet and this is about the only reference I can find
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Is_it_safe_to_eat_kidney_while_pregnant
so it is entirely up to you. But if you're still willing to eat mince, beef, lamb chops etc then it all comes form the same source then I can't see the harm in moderation. I have read of folk doing damage having a regular drink or smoke but not with occasional liver and kidney along with the rest of their meal.

Yes, ditto Anthony F above. You can't eat liver though. And be careful of vitamin supplements containing vit. A.

As long as they are properly cooked, they are no more hazardous than any other meat.
