My sis in law is 37 weeks pregnant, she has just called me for advice, she has had diarrhoea, she has an achey tummy and back and is sweating.
I have told her that i think its very possible that she is starting in labour, having had 2 children myself, although i didnt have the sweating, anyone else experience this please?

She could be in labour, but it sounds like she's got a tummy bug and needs to see a doctor just in case.
I've been in labour 4 times and haven't experienced these symptoms, even though i did start sweating, but that was nearer the end. Please do get advice.

Does sound like she has a bug. however best to get checked. I waited in a waiting room for an hour for a induction date at 41 weeks and told the consultant i had, felt a few pains but not as bad as periods pains, he checked me and i was 9cm dilated. (no sense no feeling obv)So we are all differant, dont believe the text books and if in any doubt get checked out

Sounds like labor. I had back labor and went potty, before the labor kicked up really good. That was at 2am. At 4 am I woke up having contractions, every 5 mins. apart. By 1:55pm my oldest daughter was born. Good luck and Congrats!

sounds like it could be the early early stages but never had the sweats though, maybe she's panicing a bit. Probably always best to ring local midwife or hospital...good luck to her.

It could be the beginning of labor but is an odd presentation. It sounds more like food poisioning or stomach virus.

Sounds like the start of labor. I had to go BM when I started labor so maybe she is as well. I guess she should call her doctor if she is concered... GOOD LUCK and happy b-day to the new baby! :)

i think it sounds good the diarrhoea is the bodies natural way to clear the system so when she is ready to puish it is the baby she is pushing out congratulations for when you niece/ nephew arrives x x
