Pregnancy - January 2007

Hi, i am 6 months pregnant now and yesterday i walk up with a painful rash on my thighs just near my genital area, finding it very difficult to walk, i have also noticed the vaginal discharge does not appear as usual almost like cottage cheese and with no smell. anyone experience the same or know why please advice..... i have scheduled a visit to my doctor today at 4 but until then would appreciate advice...thanks

If so, how long was your baby in NICU, and what were they treated for?

Thanks for answering - not sure when I am going to go but it could be any time now. If I make it to 34 weeks this Saturday then my ob says we will not stop the labor!

I have heard that the movements keep on reducing as it reaches 31st week. Have anyone experienced ?

One more question - I am unable to sleep at night due to severe cramps in my legs and hands. During day time, its normal. Is there any remedy ?

Hey guys, i am currently 36 1/2 weeks pregnant and starting to think more and more about labor and all, and i wanted to know about your experiences with your labor, i know that its different for every one and all but i wanted to ask. how long after you delievered your baby is the afterbirth come out? im just curious as to how long it really takes, i know you cant trust what you see on tv. thanks for the answers in advance :D

I went to my OB/GYN on Friday and he said the next test I would have is between 11 and 13 weeks (I just turned 10 weeks on Saturday) and it's completely elective. It's called an ultrascreen. It's just like an ultrasound, but they would measure the fat around the baby's neck (I didn't even know they could do that so soon), to test for Down's syndrome. I guess a thicker neck is a sign. The doctor said that all the women that go to that office are given that option (I'm 25 years old and don't have anyone in mine or my husband's family that have Down's syndrome, so I'm not really at risk for it). My husband said if the insurance covers it, to do it, and if it's positive, we can prepare ourselves better before the baby's born. I never was asked if I wanted it done with my first pregnancy and I wondered how many mothers out there would want to have this scan done or who have had it done and what the outcomes were.

and they didn't tell me my results but they scheduled me an appointment to the obgyn.....What do you think? (they didn't give me shots or anything..which everyone else got cause they are due in Febuary. What do you think and what shots would they not give you if you were pregnant?

curious i no they arnt 100% effective but..
who used a comdom and it never failed on them? and how many times have u used one without it failing?
oh yea, wat can cause a condom to bust or rip besides opening it wrong and it not being lubricated

When I am slouching or laying on my back, sometimes I find myself trying to catch a good breath, It worries me because I am a tosser and a turner in my sleep, is this something that I should be slightly worried about, should I let my doc know?

The baby is way down in my pelvis area and adding a lot of pressure. I can barely walk or stand. At times i feel like she is on her way out. earlier this evening i didn't know whether i was having gas pains or contractions but the pain was severe. Is this normal or is something very much wrong?

i just found out i was eight weeks pregnant. i was a heavy smoker, pack a day, now that i found out i am pregnant 5 days ago i have limited smoking to two a day and tomorrow will start no smoking period. as long as i have now quit completely, will the baby have any effects of the smoking before i found out i was pregnant?

I'm 2 months pregnant, my boyfriend feels some kind of a way about me getting an abortion, he is not ready to be a father, which is understandable. He is against abortion but like i said, hes not ready. Fatigue is killing me right now, i can never go out and be happy or feel good. What should i do about my boyfriend wanting the abortion, im TOTALLY REPULSED by abortion and im totally AGAINST it, He said no matter what its my decision and that whatever i choose hell back me up and support me, but im so confused on what to do, help?

I am 39 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. Ever since last night I have been having contractions that seem regular and get strong, but then they subside after 4 hours or so. And then they come back slowly again! What the heck. So I feel as if I am in the early part of labor forever now! What could be going on? Also I just coughed and there was a warm gush of water or something that come down my leg! I doesn't really smell like anything, but is it possible that my water broke when I coughed?

My last period was on december 20, I had sex around the time of ovulation, and the week after ovulation I started getting discomfort in my lower abdomen like if I was about to get my period, I had all the symptoms and I remember thinking that it was too early to get my period again. This went away and then came back stronger during the time I should be getting my period, I was supposed to get period Jan. 13 and now it is 2 days after and nothing. I have noticed a strong odor coming from my underarms and this is weird because iI ahve never had a problem with that, I do feel cold all the time. Any suggestions would be great

I am unwed and 33 weeks pregnant, Although I was on birth control and I was taking it properly, I ended up pregnant. But I have noticed so many couples having children before marriage. Do they plan it this way? Just curious. Or is it more of an accident, or irresponsiblity. I dont see anything wrong with it, I just see almost a trend...for lack of a better term.

I have moderate insomnia, and I usually take something to sleep. Valerian on normal nights, unisom on worse ones, and ambien for the really bad nights. Are any of these allowed in early pregnancy? I'll ask my doctor when I see her next week, but in the meantime, I'd like to get some sleep...

And just found out i am.... i have been drinking and taking sleeping pills(Tylenol PM ) that say do not take if pregnant or think u might be .... Did i put my baby in danger already?
