It just depends. Some women right away though I believe you can't have sex for 6 weeks after childbirth. Of course don't quote me on that one because I haven't had my child yet. You probably mean when will the hormones stabalize. Well, that I can't answer. Between the newborn baby and the emotions that are still there it might take a little. I haven't had a problem with a low sex drive in fact it is in hyperdrive, but women vary. I wouldn't think your hormones go back to normal right after childbirth either. Though I am not a doctor so I couldn't tell you for sure, once the hormones are balanced and you are able to adjust to the changes with baby and spouse then it should come back. Every woman is different I would say. It's sometimes hard for a woman because when you are pregnant your body changes and your body sometimes feels out of control. Give her time, it should come back eventually.

The doctor will tell a woman to wait at least 6 weeks before having sex again so she can heal completely. Plus, she will bleed for a while after and it'll last a lot longer than a period. After 6 weeks has passed she most likely won't be bleeding anymore and it'll be up to her if she thinks she can handle it. It'll be painful at first and you'll have to take it reeeaaal slowly (kind of like she is a virgin again). With each time that you have sex, it'll get easier and less painful and sex can totally get back to normal after that. And don't worry, she won't be stretched out. Her vagina goes back to how it was before she gave birth.

It all depends on how she feels. After birth, a newly delivered mother is supposed to wait 6 weeks for her body to heal. Some women want to resume sexual relations after that. Others are too exhausted with the new baby to even think of sex. Every woman is different. Don't push, and let her transition back into that part of her life on her own. The longer you let her heal, the more she will be likely to start having sex again.

Good Luck!!!

Well I don't know of too many women who want to have sex again till after their 6 week apointment and even then depending on how they delivered the baby. If it was C-section then they might be more up for it but actually pushing baby out I know I wasn't till about 8 weeks later and even then I didn't want to since I was breast feeding.

Average time is 6 weeks to allow for healing. Although some women do have sex sooner. Most women are so tired from caring for the baby and lifestyle changes, lack of sleep, etc....after she gets home...sex is usually the furtherst thing from her mind.

Don't forget also, hormonal changes happen after having a baby. Women are usually not feeling their sexiest with all that's happening after giving birth.

They are other ways to please your man....don't push forward until YOU feel you are ready!

lol...I got a really good laugh from this one. Well it takes time. Physically about six weeks. A lot of women are afraid of getting pregnant again. Let her take her time. I know after I had a child, my sex drive went crazy!!

Each woman is different and has different needs.
Me personally as soon as I stopped bleeding ( 2 weeks) I was having sex again.

Well, I'm pregnant now and my doctor has already told me that ..it's going to be 6 to 8 weeks. I would think that a woman wants time to fully heal.

That depends entirely on the woman. With my first son I didnt want my husband anywhere NEAR me for about 7wks.
After my second son, it was about 5wks after his birth.
With my third son and my daughter it was more like 3wks.
