hiya, I'm 31wks and my babies movements have reduced, i get more kicks and punches now before he use to do back flips!!! they have less room than before.
for cramps i found eating a few bananas a day help its something to do with the potassium.
29wks baby would have a good chance of survival but as always the longer baby is in the womb the better.

Actually the rate of survival these days would probably be pretty good. I can't give statistics but I can tell you that the reason the U.S. does not allow late term abortions past 24 weeks is because at 24 weeks a fetus CAN be viable. Which is why all the controversey years ago over late term abortions. It is now ILLEGAL in the U.S. to have abortions past the 24th week. I do know that other countries allow abortions through the third trimester but I don't live in those countries.
As for the cramping, prop your feet up from time to time during the day, try to get them above your heart. At night sleep with pillows under your legs.

I read 30 weeks has 70% survival rate, so that's pretty close.

At first I thought this was a weird question, but when going through pregnancy one tends to ask a lot of questions - some are going to be weird! Plus, it is reassuring to know - wow, even now my baby has a good shot at survival!

Leg cramps - drink more water (maybe not the perfect solution for sleeping though!)

Chance of survival is good especially with all the technology now. I have a friend who had Toxemia and her baby had to be taken by ceserian at 26 weeks. He is 8 now. He is really sensitive to colds and things but he is alive and does well in school.

As for the leg cramps, cut back on your salt intake and have someone rub your legs before you go to sleep. This will help you relax. You can also take regular strength Tylenol in pregnancy.

Oh, yeah, it's normal. The remedies I can think of are to eat more fruits and veggies and to take a shower to sort of massage your pains away. With both of my pregnancies, the cramps in my legs would wake me out of a deep sleep. I would wake up with my leg bending itself and sort of contracting in pain. Yeouch, I'm glad that's done with. Congratulations. And for survival, the chances are pretty good if it's a healthy pregnancy, but everyday in the womb is better for the baby.

I would say the survival just depends on the unborn baby and as far as the cramps go I had the same problem and told my doctor and she said to take 2 Tums before going to bed because I was experiencing a calcium deficiency. I have been taking them since and have had no cramps-good luck!

Anything after 24 weeks has something like a 80 percent chance w/ all the medical actions available these days. As for the cramps, eat bananas or get a potassium supplement, they really do help!

less than 38 weeks it will be difficult, but that young it will be dangerous. However, with good docotrs and good hospital, probably ok.

You really should go to the doctor about the other stuff. It may or may not be minor, and the only person that would know is a doctor. You need to take care of yourself because the baby is dependent upon you and what happens to your body effects the baby.

Medically speaking any fetus over 25 weeks of gestation is viable for life. With modern medicine and the advances of the NICU most babies go on to be normal healthy happy babies in a few months and go home by their due dates

Wouldn't hurt to go to a dr.
But I do know of a baby that was birthed at only 5 months along. Or was it 4? Anyway, the have a donation bottle down at the store trying to raise money. They have a picture of it hooked to machines and hoses. It is pure blood red- almost like it doesn't have skin. Really sad.
