Pregnancy - January 2007

Hi all, I went for a ultrasound scan a few days ago which is not routine for my pregnancy. I am 18 weeks and I went for the scan because its to train junior doctors how to do scans!
Anyway when i went baby looked fine but the sonographer in charge noticed a very low lying placenta? I dont know if its blocking my cervix but when she was doing the scan she could see my cervix so does that mean the cervix is not blocked?? I have been researching this low placenta thing and I suppose its only a real worry if its completing blocking the cervix. So if she could see the cervix on the scan is that good news??? Thanks all.

I am approximately 10 weeks along and I feel like death. Does anyone else feel this bad? I can't sleep or eat, I just want to hug my toilet all day. I feel like I am dieing almost every minute of the day. I just guess this time around is taking a bigger toll on my body than the last. My poor wardrobe is more depressed than me! In 10 weeks, I think there's a monster growing in there not a tiny baby! I'll never make it to 40 weeks! Am I alone in this boat or is anyone else with me? I just think I need a good old
fashioned cry. Suppose that will help us??

Okay, well my bf and I had sex 5 times this weekend using the withdrawl method. I know he did not actually go inside me because it was always on the blankets, and I had just gotten off my period. Isnt that the least likely time to get pregnant? What are the odds? I was just wondering because condoms are expensive and he seems to be making a habit of wanting to use that method instead of going to buy condoms!

Yesterday, I recieved a thick period. It was bright red and very heavy. It is still very heavy and my back hurts.

I'm in my first trimester - I don't think implantation bleeding is supposed to be thick...

Does this sound like symptoms of a miscarriage? All of my dizziness, stomach aches, chills, etc STOPPED about two days ago.

Can you, or CAN'T you feel it when a guy ejaculates inside of you? I'm 16 weeks but VERY short so the baby is already gone out. I look like I'm 20 weeks or more for pete's sake! However, the question here is, does anyone else feel like they have to keep their abs tight to actually HOLD the baby in place? Like your uterus is getting to heavy to comfortably just hang out there?

Feels like I'm carrying a pilates ball or two and I'm suppose to "hold onto" them.

Anyone? Or am I nuts.

sex but will complain all day about me not having sex with him,will watch porn excessivly in front of me and make comments like when will we .or if were watching tv hell say somethingb like even tony sopranos wife has sex with him. i feel he is being insensitive because im not ready and scared. i had an ectopic pregnancy and the doc had to remove my tube it was a life threating situation. im afraid to have sex emotionally and what if it hurts . he says i love you regardless and am not pressuring you but he will not let me live it down. we stayed in new years eve and he kept switching from porn to the ball drop on regular tv. i felt uncomfortable becaused the last thing i wanted to think about was sex i still feel like crap and sex almost cost me my life so i was not in the mood.what should i think .is he an insensitive prick?

what were the best things about your pregnancy? I think pregnant women are beautiful but I heard some and I do mean some pregnant women dont feel that way about themselves they feel their fat an unattractive so what were the positive and pros of pregnancy? were you treated different by people when you were pregnant?

Lately I have been so...moody! One minute I'll be perfectly happy and fine. The next, I'll feel really tired and just...blah. Or the opposite. Or tonight, I was with my boyfriend, and we had a perfectly good night, and then I just started crying. My period isn't supposed to come until next Friday or Saturday, is it just my hormones changing, or really early pms? I'm not taking anything that would cause my hormones to go up and down...and other than that I feel fine. Other than feeling more hungry than normal, and for certain foods. Has anyone ever felt like this before? Is it just my hormones? Pms? Or something else? Any ideas...? I really hate feeling like this. O, and yes, my boyfriend and I are sexually active. Could that even have something to do with it?? No rude answers please.

I know this sounds crazy, but i need to take maternity leave early due to living situation and still need income and do not want to quit my job. How can i get maternity leave earlier than 4-6 weeks before my due date. is there anything i can tell my doctor to get me maternity earlier??

She went through with the abortion, her mom (my sis) signed the papers. She is very happy she is no longer labeled pregnant teenager. (She is 15)
Don't you think it was the right choice? (She does and so do i but my sister didn't want her to have an abortion because of whatever reasons she had about it)

ok im about 5 weeks pregnant and im not sure if this is Implantation Bleeding or not but here is what i am experiancing.
spotting not my period but at first its a red color and then it looks like a brown discharge. and it has been going on now for 2 days but on and off it goes for like an hour and then stops for like 3 is this normal?! or not?!

Say someone already has one child. And then they get pregnant again later on down the road 1-however many years down the road, and the unborn baby's sex is opposite from the first child. Is it ok to have another baby shower or is that something that is just not done?? Wondering because a friend of mine wants to have another baby shower for the little boy she is having so she can get boy things.

I know it's ok take benadryl every once in a while but on the box it's says to take 1-2 in a dose.Is it ok to take 2 or do most of you only take 1?Please answer based on experience only.Thank u!!!
