I'm 16 weeks but VERY short so the baby is already gone out. I look like I'm 20 weeks or more for pete's sake! However, the question here is, does anyone else feel like they have to keep their abs tight to actually HOLD the baby in place? Like your uterus is getting to heavy to comfortably just hang out there?

Feels like I'm carrying a pilates ball or two and I'm suppose to "hold onto" them.

Anyone? Or am I nuts.

When I "let go" it feels heavier and my belly looks bigger. But in day to day activity I'll stop and realise I'm holding my stomach tight.

I am short too. I had that feeling all the time. In fact I would hold the bottom of my tummy. I felt like he was going to just drop out. Corse I carried very low too. Good luck and congrats.

You may need to get some support garments - special undies with a support segment. If not, you'll certainly stretch your skin a lot and could cause back pain in the near future.

Have you tried letting go to find out what happens?
