Do u think 25 minutes (16 miles) is too far to travel for your ob/gyn? My husband seems to think its far,but I really dont....Arent doctor appts spread out like once a month until your third trimester?

Its not me its my sister. she found out she was i mo pregnant with her second baby and she is showing really big already she can hardly fit into her reg clothes is it twins? she needs some advice.

LMP is 11/22/06, mabye ovulated 15 days later.First ultrasound showed an empty sac, around 6-7 weeks pregnant. Second ultra sound done 7-8 weeks, and showed a fzzy line. Dr said not sure what it is, maybe blood. There is no fetal pole or heat beat detected yet. The Dr says I have a 5o-50 chances but is dicouraged. Has anyone had the same thing and had normal pregnancy? Please help

I just had my very first blood test done to check to see if I am possibly pregnant. The nurse on the phone already placed an order to my pharmacy for prenatal vitamins because she said she's certain i'm newly pregnant. The nurse who did the bloodwork said "oh your pregnant, I know! I do this all the time and sweetheart, I'm telling you yes!"
I barely had a positive urine test (not even sure it WAS positive - it was a VERY faint 2nd line after looking at it a 2nd time). No second line appeared when I took a 2nd urine test the next day (i told the nurse all of this over the phone) I'm afraid that Monday they will tell me "no your not pregnant. sorry." and i'm going to be devastated. Should they be doing that?

I am 15 weeks pregnant and used to have a drink at the weekends socially but havent touched any since i found out i was pregnant. But i just had a glass of wine with tea. What do you think as i get paronoid about it all the time.

I've heard it can cause dehydration, and of course just be a nasty experience - but I have also heard and read that it works (wikipedi). But would like to get a sampling of experiences. My wife I considering it...but I'm not so sure I'm as comfortable about the idea.

I had a baby on Oct 9th and blead for a long time. I stoped for a few days and then started bleeding again on Dec 28th. It was really heavy (like a period) and lasted 10 days. ive been taking birthcontrol for 4 monts and 1 week and acouple days and i forgot to take my pill yesterday and i had sex this morning with my bf of two years and we didnt use protection but i took the pill today but hours after i had sex and acording to the fertility calcuator it says my most fertile days are today and tomarrow whats the chances me miss my pill yestarday is going to end up with me being pregnant

I am scheduled for my first ultrasound this coming week. It will be a Trans-vaginal ultrasound. I am taking my boyfriend, and I am just wondering what to expect. Will we see the baby? Silly question, I know, but I find it hard to believe you can see them this early on. Also, I am worried. What if we don't hear a heartbeat? I'm just being a worry-wort, but I hardly feel pregnant right now. Initially I was lightheaded, had a cold, cramps, etc. Now, the only sign of pregnancy I have is sore breasts.

Hi all-

I'm 21 and am just 6 weeks along. My boyfriend and I are expecting our first "unexpected!" child in September. I was just wondering what books you all have read and really enjoyed. Believe it or not, my OB actually recommended the "Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy" for me and said "What to Expect..." is a little conservative and outdated. Any suggestions, especially having to do with first time moms and having a baby while still in college are appreciated. Thanks!

the doctor literally took the doppler placed on my belly, and BAM...there was the heart beat. With all my other pregnancies the doctor has had to search for the heart beat for at least 30 sec to a minute. Have you guys heard your babies heart beats immediately with no searching around?

Please realize that I am not concerned about it in any way, just curious if other women have had that happen, where the doc didn't need to search at all.

My period is due tomorrow, and I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it came out to be a faint positive. I am having cramps like my period is starting and then when I went to the bathroom there was lite lite pink blood only when I wipe, I have no idea what is going on, I already have a doc appt so advise till then, Thanks for your answers.

I just got back from a walk in clinic and there they gave me a urine test ( which came out negative) and they did a pelvic exam and they said everything looked normal! okay but she did something where they could feel the womb and asked if it hurt and it did, and i still haven't had my dang period, and i'm having this discharge like no other ... and to top it all off i can feel something thumping me inside my stomach is hard and very sore .... she told me to go to the gyn. but everything should be fine... what do ya'll think ? am i pregnant or just going crazy? lol.. please only nice answers... thanks!!

I am having a few very tell tale signs of being pregnant, because I didn't chart this month I have no way of knowing when I ovulated for sure, but the signs I am having include the area around my nipples have drastically gotten bigger, my boobs are throbbing ( not a usually pr-af symptom for me ). I had the breast tenderness when I was pregnant with my son, but didn't have it when I was pregnant before my son ( that was an ectopic pregnancy ). My nipples are also much darker than usual and there are these tiny white spots on them it is weird ( don't know if that means anything ) If these were indeed pregnancy symptoms don't you think I would have enough of the pregnancy hormone to give positive result on an HPT? Anyone else been through this and what was your outcome?? Something just doesn't feel right. My cycles are between 28-32 days and this is day 29 right now. All advice is much appreciated.

Like, my hips hurting cause they are stretching out making room for the baby. Or the cramps you constantly have while your uterus is stretching. or the increased vaginal discharge. Or everything else that no one ever mentions that happens during pregnancy. It's no fun! Worth it, but I wish I would have expected these things.

can anyone explain signs of how back labour may start, this is my first baby so dont have a clue what to expect in labor but i have a dull back ache ive have it for 3 days its not a come and go pain its always there constant also when i walk ans the top of my legs. ive been to see my midwife and she has said the babys head is not engaged so could i be in early stages of labour or not emmm need help and advice.
