Hello, well heres the short story- Im 31 weeks pregnant, and my husband accepted a job with the State police last year. It is a 6 month training process he started in Oct. and ends in March, right when the baby is due (4 days difference)
He is gone all week even at night and now they arent letting them come home on the weekends....he tries to call as much as he can.....i know what hes doing is his life long dream and will be a good job when the training is done
BUt i cant help feeling abandoned during a time i need him most and i feel so alone. I have some days where i feel like im not even needed or important...are these just my hormones?
Am i wrong or selfish to feel that way??

I'm 38 weeks and i've definintely hit the nesting stage, and I'm really anticipating the birth of my first daughter so much. I've packed her bag for the hospital. I have clothes to bring her home in, some wipes, and diapers, just in case, and a blankie and the car seat of course. But as for me what do I take? I'm planning on breastfeeding so should I take a breast pump so that I can pump while at the hospital? will they let me keep her in my room to feed her during the night or will she have to stay in the nursery for observation and stuff??

I put a question on a few minutes ago about weather miscarriages can be caused by not being able to carry girls. Some answers were harsh one saying it was insane and gender has nothing to do with miscarriages. I would like to clafify a few points. Two of my babies were scanned at 11 weeks which showed they were both normal with strong heartbeats and normal size. However at 12 weeks their hearts stopped beating and I had to have an operation to have them removed. After this the babies were tested at the hospital and no abnormalties were found. So please dont tell me miscarriages are because they are not viable or due to abnormalties. The hospital suggested it was more to do with my body treating the pregancy as a foreign body. I do know of cases personally of women not being able to carry boys, but have never heard of it about girls. But thankyou to those who anwsered wishing us luck.

I am a FTM (first time mom almost 33 weeks) and I am taking an all day long prepared childbirth class tomorrow at my hospital. For those of you who have taken these type of classes did they help and did you learn a lot of helpful information? Any input would be appreciated!

I have a best friend who lives in St. Louis and I live in DC. We've known each other for over 20 years. We talk on the phone 3 times a week and visit every other year. For some reason, our cycles tend to coincide.

Okay, so here's where it gets creepy. I started feeling nauseated, my breasts were tender. Then I found out that she was pregnant. But it's only gotten worse. I've gained 5 lbs (I lost 20 2 years ago and have kept it off until now. Even after doing the elliptical trainer 3 times a week for an hour) and I lost my period for two months. I've gotten 2 yeast infections (I only got these while pregnant), my breasts are spilling out of their cups, the fatigue! and all I want is peanut butter & jelly and fruit.

My husband thinks it's funny, but I think it's annoying. I am definitely not pregnant, because my husband had a vasectomy over 3 years ago and I am not hitting anything on the side :o). Plus, just to be sure, I took a pregnancy test.

Has anyone else experienced this?

my friends a little more then a week late with her period i went with her today to take a pregnacy test but it turned up negitive. shes felt nausua almost non stop and shes been extremly tired and her breats are very tender. She has frequent head aches and i am wondering wat other reasons could she be having all these symptoms. is there anything that could cause you to miss your period besides stress and pregnancy? What are the chances that she is still indeed pregnant?

There is a theory that says if you have sex several days before ovulation, your baby will most likely be a girl. This is because the little girl sperm swim slower and live longer than the boy sperm, so at the time of ovulation the only sperm that is left is female. If you have sex the day before, the day of, and the day after ovulation, your baby will be a boy. This is because the boy sperm swim quicker and will reach the egg before the girl sperm.

Is what I was wondering, is how correct is this theory? Has anyone else ever heard of it? Has anyone tried it to prove if it is correct? Did this theory work for you?

My sister just found out that she is having her first baby. She is very excited but also very worried at the same time. She doesn't have any breasts!! She lost her breasts many years ago in a nasty slip n slide accident in our parents backyard. Ever since then she has been breastless but has managed to lead a pretty normal life. Now that she is pregnant how will her baby eat? She doesn't want to give the baby formula but she doesn't want to starve the baby either. Help please! What can she do?

My friend is a really nice person. She started to like this boy that i told her was bad news. He gets into a lot of trouble and i told her it wasn't a good idea to date him. But she didn't listen. She went out with the guy and now shes pregnant. I feel really bad because she had so many goals in her life. She told me that im lucky because i get to go to school and live my life the way i planned. I don't know what to tell her when she is crying all the time about what happened. What should i tell her? help please.

Why is it that when a woman has an abortion, it's a choice yet if the woman smokes while pregnant, she's selfish? I would like to know why it's okay to end a life but it's not okay to smoke at all. I'm not pregnant nor do I plan on becoming pregnant in the near future. Some doctors say to completely stop smoking while pregnant and some say to cut down. Shouldn't women go by what their doctors say instead of getting slammed for our own beliefs? Just a thought.

I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant and want to know if it is safe for me to have sex with my partner? Did any women out there have any weird feelings afterwards? I'm not sick, no nausea, a bit dizzy this morning, breasts are sore, tummy feels bloated, but otherwise good. Suggestions?

What about self-pleasuring (no dildo, etc)? Any issues there?

I just found out I'm pregnant with my first child, and I am thrilled beyond words. But with every little pain and ache, I'm terrified that something is wrong with my baby, and I may lose it. Is this normal? Did any other new moms go through this during pregnancy? Thanks.

My partner is 20 weeks pregnant with all the usual symptoms, but i've started to feel funny an all....

My tummy has grown, I get trapped wind, headaches, back aches etc.

Before you take the P**s too much, i'm a national level swimmer, fit and healthy with none of these probs untill a few weeks ago.

Find it all a bit weird...
