Im 7weeks and all a sudden i had these horrible pains in my lower adbomin. I couldn't eat or ill shart hurting and it was bad. I was worried about suffering from another MC so i went to the er. They said i had a UTI. ok took some med helped some but i still had the pain. Well at my doc app. they told me i have a sensitive stomach and put me on a strict diet. I don't hurt no more. So it may be something your eating. And my friend who is 39wks has placenta privia. . She hurt so bad she could not move. She got dehydrated they gave her fluids and felt find and she ate right. Have the checked you for dilation? You never know. I would go to the er. next time your in pain and get a ultra sound and see what it is.

I had the same thing right at 19 weeks..the pain was so bad it made me fold up and drop to my knees. But when I went to the doctor they said I was having Braxton hicks contractions. Although some people have them and never feel them other have them and they are extremely painful. Plus they told me with my uterus growing some of the pain was just the pulling and stretching of the muscles. Also i was extremely dehydrated which they said would make the pain worse. Soon after I hit 20 weeks the pain got less and less and now I dont have anything like that anymore. (25.5 weeks with a lil girl)

Do not be fobbed off by hospital staff if you are worried about your pregnancy. Go to hospital and insist that you are investigated properly. You need to be examined, have blood tests and an ultrasound to rule out any other health problems. Just because you are not actually bleeding doesn't mean there may not be something else going on. They cannot tell just by looking at you or talking on the phone. If you have any further symptoms go to hospital. Take someone with you who will stand up for you and INSIST on a proper exam. You have a right to be given proper care, especially in your condition. If you are not satisfied, ask to speak to a patient advisory liaison (PAL) officer. They will see you are treated fairly. Take it very easy and try to think about what happened before each attack.

Good luck!

I'm a bit surprised about her being diagnosed with IBS when she was having upper stomach pains - in my limited experience (OK - well me!) the pain is in the lower bowel area which is very low - almost in the same place as ovaries. Obviously could be a different bit of the bowel being affected - but what drugs have they tried her on? The only thing that worked for me with IBS was peppermint capsules and hot water bottles - but then my IBS only lasted a couple of years. I can only imagine how desperate your poor wife must be.

Dont go back to the doctor. They dismiss everyone! Go staight to hospital and demand a scan and demand that you are taken seriously.

Do not ring the hospital again, you need to be examined.

You don't get pain for no reason.

i would go and get it checked out asap. not to be blunt but to the point it could be the early signs of a miscarriage. i work with children and i recently had a parent miscarry at 5months, or on the lighter side it could be growing pains. have you thought that it also might be gas or wind. but if you are in that much pain seek advice. nobody should be in that much pain. or put your signs onto google and see what it says.

O you poor thing! I'm afraid i don't know but i read your question and had to give some reply so that you would know that someone was thinking of you. If it is really bad as you say then maybe you should get down to A & E. I really dont know what it could be.... please do get help quickly, dont leave it.

And God bless.
