I have a best friend who lives in St. Louis and I live in DC. We've known each other for over 20 years. We talk on the phone 3 times a week and visit every other year. For some reason, our cycles tend to coincide.

Okay, so here's where it gets creepy. I started feeling nauseated, my breasts were tender. Then I found out that she was pregnant. But it's only gotten worse. I've gained 5 lbs (I lost 20 2 years ago and have kept it off until now. Even after doing the elliptical trainer 3 times a week for an hour) and I lost my period for two months. I've gotten 2 yeast infections (I only got these while pregnant), my breasts are spilling out of their cups, the fatigue! and all I want is peanut butter & jelly and fruit.

My husband thinks it's funny, but I think it's annoying. I am definitely not pregnant, because my husband had a vasectomy over 3 years ago and I am not hitting anything on the side :o). Plus, just to be sure, I took a pregnancy test.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Just for clarification, my husband was tested a few months after the surgery just to be sure he was shooting blanks.

Just because your husband had a vasectomy, doesn't mean it was done correctly. I would take a test and find out for sure.

Just like a woman getting pregnant after tubal ligation, a man can sometime still produce active sperm, which in turn can cause a pregnancy.

Hey, I would take another pregnancy test just in case becaue even though ur hubby had a vasectomy doesn't mean you CAN"T get pregnant.. I know someone who had that done 4 years ago and he now has a 2 1/2 year old it's rare but possible.. secondly I do believe that it is possible for you to have sympothy symptoms from your best friend they say when you are very close with someone you can feel their pain... When I was pregnant with my daughter my husband knew I was pregnant before I did, He started throwing up every monring and would pee every 20 mins, the smell of certain foods made him sick and he gained 20lbs during my pregnancy.. Needless to say I had no pregnancy symptoms Through my whole pregnancy but he sure did.. He even called me from work and asked me if I was in labor I said I don't think so why and he said becaue he was getting very very bad pains in his stomach to wear he was leaving work I met up with him at the house and he convinced me to go to the hospital lol and sure enough I was 6 cm dialated talk about sympothy pains!!!!

Anything is possible with today's technology. Your best bet would be to consult a fertility doctor or clinic. To see if you or your significant other would be able to produce a viable egg, or be able to carry it. Carrying two different persons eggs that are fertilized, I don't see it being a problem. But depending on what genes get passed to the babies, one baby might develop with troubles over the other. Which could result in emergency c-section and a higher risk of one child not making it. However consult a doctor about the option to carry two. You could do one this time with one persons egg, and then another time with the other persons egg, or if possible each carry your own baby. It would be a unique opportunity and you both can bond together over it. It wouldnt be just sympathy pains, it would be a real world experience. Best of luck!
