I had horrible acne that started right when I found out I was pregnant, and lasted through the 3rd trimester! I'm now 38 weeks, and I finally have it under control, although I still get a zit or two. I also got some acne on my chest and back. Stupid pregnancy hormones!!! I don't think there's too much you can do about it, except take care of your skin, drink lots of water, and wait it out. I've been told that it happens if you're having a girl (which I am). My sister had a boy and girl, and only suffered from acne when she was pregnant with my neice. Good luck to you! Sorry I can't help you more. You could ask your doctor what he/she recommends.

actually I had bad acne the first 4 months of my pregnancy but once i hit like 5 months it cleared up. But I used multiple skin care products..I used actual bar soap to wash my face..my approach was to dry my skin out so it didnt have any oil to produce pimples..and it worked. But im 25.5 weeks with a lil girl now and am back to the clear skin I started with. So good Luck. Also i was told that if your skin breaks out your more likely to have a girl.

the truth is that no one knows. I was the same way with clear skin even during my first pregnancy but something happened with my twins and ever since I have looked like a teenager with acne. It has been a year now since my fourth child and I am still struggling with this problem. the best thing i can recommend is called PROACTIVE. it works great so I am told but I am still waiting for my shipment. they are running a special for $20 look on the internet

A couple of months after the baby is born your skin will return back to normal..lol, I know that sucks, but that is what I read on the babycenter site. I got acne bad off and on during this pregnancy and right now(im 30 weeks) and it has begun to clear up, so maybe it gets better. Who knows. I have had 3 other babies, but dont remember when it got better.

have you tried using an antibacterial soap? We're all different and some suffer from break outs and some don't. I didn't have a problem so much on my face as I did on my chest and back. But I had switched to Aveeno wash at some point, now that I'm back to my antibacterial/moisturizing body wash, my little bumps have almost disappeared. But I don't know if it was the wash I was using or if it was just a coincidence.

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.

Yeah... I have been breaking out too. All over my face... especially on my chin and around my mouth. Just give it time, it will pass. Maybe you will be having a baby girl. I had the clearest skin when I was preggo with my son. Now that I think I am preggo (with my pimply face) I am hoping its a girl (they say that when you are pregnant with girls, your face and body can break out, its happening to my firend who is pregnant with a girl!) So I am hoping! Do you know what you are having yet? Please let me know!!

"This pregnancy thingy"? I think you have pregnancy confused with a stomache bug. Since it sounds like you're still a teenager, the acne will likely be around until your body can mature completely. But most women will experience acne during pregnancy as the level of horomones rise.

Don't use over-the-counter (OTC) acne products because some can get into your blood stream and do harm to the baby. If you're concerned about your skin and the products you've already used, talk to your doctor.
