b&g4me is wrong: False positives can happen even though they arent very common. As far as your question goes, I have never heard of a women getting a neg pregnancy test later on in pregnancy if they havent lost the child. Normally the HCG level has to be non exsistent to show neg.

NO...if your hormone level ever goes down there is something wrong with the pregnancy. It should keep doubling ever 48 hours until you delivery (possibly more than double in the last week or so because of a surge in hormones). I have researched pregnancy hormones because mine was closely monitored during the beginning of this pregnancy. Also, the doctor and the lab tech had told me the same thing.

Why are you taking pregnancy tests if you know you are pregnant?
Your doctor is likely drawing blood every visit, and should be keeping tabs on your hormone levels in the only way that matters. What you pee out doesn't. What is actually in your blood, does.

I have never heard of getting a neg. result during pregnancy. Your hormone levels should be steadily increasing.

Your test will show up negative when you are about 5 months pregnant due to the hormone level going down...I promise you this info.

the only time you will get a negative result is if you lost the baby and your hormone level is almost non existant. That is why you can have a false neg, but rarely a false pos.
Sorry i didn't realize i put never, i meant rarely.
