the doctor literally took the doppler placed on my belly, and BAM...there was the heart beat. With all my other pregnancies the doctor has had to search for the heart beat for at least 30 sec to a minute. Have you guys heard your babies heart beats immediately with no searching around?

Please realize that I am not concerned about it in any way, just curious if other women have had that happen, where the doc didn't need to search at all.

Yes I've had that happen. I think maybe sometimes the baby's just in the right place.

Hearing a babies heartbeat for the first time is one of the best feelings aside fom the actual birth. Babies are such a blessing and bring so much happiness to the world. It took awhile for the Doctor to find the heartbeat for our son. It wasnt quick at all. Im glad to hear the baby will be a survivor of roe vs wade. Congrats!

Nope, everytime I go to the doctor they have to search for it. We always hear my heartbeat right away! One time the doctor even got this weird look on his face & said "hmm". That had me & my b/f freaked out. But I think the doc just didnt know what he was doing. He had the doppler way to far up on my stomach. But they always find it & tell us that she has a very good heartbeat.

I rented a dopplar from heartones.com and listen at home everyday. I know where my baby is most of the time. Sometimes I have to search around, other times its as soon as i put it on my belly. Just get lucky sometimes a guess. Baby is never on the left always in the middle and low. Congrats!

Yeah this is my first pregnancy and the doctor told me we got the good baby award because first time was a charm she usually has to search for it. Now the second time they searched for like 5 minutes because the baby was running as they put it.

Congrats!!!!
I'm due June 10th

Yep I have had this happen, as well as it taking over a minute to find it! It depends on the baby's position mainly and how lucky your doc is with finding it!! :) Also the further along you are the easier it can be!

Hey,
My doc always hears mine right away too. We have a at-home heartbeat doppler and we can always find the baby right away too. This is my first pregnancy.
