Pregnancy - December 2006

I went to the doctor's today because I read some signs on preterm labor (I am 34 weeks) and I had a couple, ex: diarhea, nausea, whitish liquid where you can feel it trickling out. So my Docs wanted me to rush in there! So they put me on a machine which measures contractions and the baby's heartbeat and after that they said I was just fine! Then of course they wanted to check exactly what I was leaking. My Doctor said that I was leaking alot of mucus (so the mucus plug is coming out) and then he asked my due date (Jan 15th) and he said, "well really count on her being out before then?"

So my question to you is, has your doctor ever said anything like that? And how fast do you think she could be here?

my fetus measured only 6 weeks.there was not any heart beat,dr said you could miscarry by yourself or they can do d/c thing.what should we do and what are the risk involved if i miscarry myself?

The doctor said I might, but how much is normal? And I also noticed a little small stringy like clotting. I haven't had to wear a pad just panty liner that was filled, but mostly with brownish pink bleeding. Is this normal to have???? He also said my cervix was "soft", but closed. Is this a good thing at 36wks??? Thanks 1st pregnancy!

my and my bf always use condoms but once he just stuck it in a few times and another time he pulled out before he came. now i always get paranoid, even when we use a condom im still thinkin omg am i pregnant, and this is just another one of my moments. could i be pregnant. my bf ahs done this before with his ex for 2 years and she never got pregnant. what about me?

I have never been diagnosed with any actual reproductive disease. All of the women in my family have irregular menstrual cycles. I'm young...confused....and don't have anyone else to ask?

i wanted to say thank you to the "support group" i had while being pregnant it was such a relief just to know that there were others out there that have or were going through what i did......
my edd was nov.27 by the 30th he still wasn't here so my doc ordered a NST and during that my baby's heart rate went down to 80 so my doc decided to induce me well after 19 hours of labor and an ephidural that didn't work completely we now have our beautiful baby boy born at 4:46am dec1 he was 5lbs 12oz and 19 in long ...........ethan gabriel has a head full of hair and long,dark eyelashes ........so thanks to all who gave advice and good luck to all the mommies and daddies to be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My last period was on November 1, 2006 and I got a possitive pregnancy test.. Today is now December 4... so technically how many weeks am I???? I really can't ask anyone in my family cause I'm scared to tell them that I'm pregnant and I want to tell them when it is less likely a miscarriage... since I was once had an eating disorder (bulimia).... I'm still afraid that it might not be successful but I am really wishing really really really hard that this pregnancy will be successful... I'm excited to see my bundle of joy.

I am 9 weeks pregnant and have been trying to quit smoking. I've cut down to 10 or less a day. I used to be 1-1/2 pk smoker a day for 10 years. It's extremely difficult for me....even cutting down to 10 or less, and that has proven tricky, but I've done that. Any of you have any advice on how to quit? I know it's important, I don't need people telling me how it affects me and the baby....I've heard all that before. Anyone in the same boat, or have been?

I am almost 10 weeks pregnant and today my cervical mucus has changed from a creamy bright white color to a creamy caramel color... what I want to know is- is this normal and why could this change have happened? I happen to have my OB apppointment on friday and will also ask my doctor, but would like others opinions before hand. Thanks!

this is kind of embarassing... but im 11 weeks today and i am having a lot of discharge. i know its normal, but it smells pretty bad. i know its not a yeast infection because i dont itch or anything, its just the smell. my finace is fine with it since he knows its not my fault but ive found myself not really in the mood lately cause im really kind of embarassed. is there anything i can do to safely make things go back to normal?

Hi,
has anyone else gotten the flu while pregnant? I woke up with a very bad case of it. I am 13 weeks. This morning I vomited every 10 minutes, around 12 is slowed down to every 20 minutes. I cant keep in any fluids and my body aches sooo bad. I was just wondering, when you called your doctor, what did they advise you? Did you go to the hospital? Was your baby okay?
I called my doctor and they said there was nothing they could do. I was just wondering if you were advised differently... I know to do what the doctor told me... so please- no "listen to what your doctor told you" answers. I just wanna know your experiences?

I do not mind needles but I can’t stand the thought of needles in my vein. I have had an IV before so I could handle the drugs during the labor part but do I have to have the blood samples every time you get a check up. I am not pregnant yet but this really chickens me out!!!!
