dunno, if you get tired then go to the doctor. THey can speed things up with drugs if you want. It may also be false labor. call a doctor. 13 hours is a long time.

You are having a slow labor! It's common, especially with the first! My friend was in labor for 36 hours, my aunt for 30 hours, my sister was in labor for nearly two days! Wait it out, RELAX and it will happen. Take a warm shower or bath (only IF your water has NOT broken though) to relax you further. It will happen, just takes time. I was induced and was still in labor for 10 hours before doing a c-section for distress (from the meds). In 10 hours I only dilated to 3 cm and before they stopped the meds my contractions were only 2 minutes apart and lasting nearly a minute.....it just takes time!

Are they real contractions? Painful? Have you had a bloody show and all of that?

Either way...whether they are painful or not...I would TOTALLY call your OB. If you aren't full-term, you very well could be going into pre-term labor. Your doctor will probably want you to be checked (dialation, etc) and monitor what is going on.

You should call your doc. If they were true contractions they would get stronger and unbariable and closer together. YOur probably just having braxton hicks contractions. Ive been having them for 4 weeks now and still no baby! God luck!

Have they gotten stronger or closer together or longer over the last 13 hours? Call your doctor and let him/her know about it and he/she will let you know if should get examined. Good luck.

Ummm I think that you should go to the hospital. You need to go to a doctor to assess what's going on and to make sure that there aren't any problems with your baby.

try nipple stimulation to release more pitocin into your bloodstream. Also massage your calves, there is a pressure point to your uterus that will make it contract.

This stuff will only work if your body is ready for it to work however.
