When I found out I was pregnant with our now two year old (his first child, my second) was right about this time of year. I waited until Christmas morning to tell my husband. I went and got a pregnancy book, wrapped it up and addressed it to us both from "Santa". I had him unwrap it, and at first he thought it was a gag gift since we'd been trying for two years and had gotten a referal for fertility specialist a few weeks before. When I told him that it would come in really useful between then and August." He just looked at me, dumbfounded and said "Are you serious?" I nodded and he grabbed me and kissed me for about 5 minutes straight.

What's your favorite story about telling the Dad-to-be?

I found out i was pregnant and had an ultrasound a week ago because i wasn't sure how far along I was. The lady doing the ultrasound said that I had to be 4 1/2 weeks along because she couldn't see anything. I know I am farther along then that because I was 3 1/2 weeks late already when I took the pregnancy test. Could she be wrong? and I believe I am about 8 weeks or 7 weeks pregnant and showing. My pants arn't fitting me right I had to rubberband them to make them fit. I'm not getting sick I just feel sick all the time... I'm tired all the time... my breast hurt horribly.... my mother is a twin and my father is a twin and I had a great grandpa a twin. . . do you think I could be showing because I might be having twins... and could that effect why the ultrasound lady couldn't see anything?

I had a miscarriage on the 4th. It did not end in a D&C. I was only 6 weeks so my body pushed the baby out naturally that day. I stopped bleeding about 4-5 days ago. I feel fine and I havnt been in any pain since the day of my miscarriage. The Dr. at the E.R. said that I couldnt have sex for 6 weeks! On the other hand I have read that as soon as you stop bleeding it is okay and that is for woman who had had a d&c which is more dangerous than having a natural miscarriage. Also, the Dr. said that we couldnt try to get pregnant again for at least 3 months. I have read that as soon as you are able to have sex or you can wait a cycle it is safe because you are more fertile and more likely to get pregnant within three months following the miscarraige. What should we do???

I always have slept on my stomach but now that I am pregnant friends have told me to sleep on my side that sleeping on your tummy is really bad. Is that true? I end up waking up all night cause I am not comfortable. I understand when I get huge that I won't be able too, but can I now?

My pregnancy books says to avoid it and I asked my doctor and he said that you should have none, but did not really give me a reason you cant. Is it because of perservatives or other chemicals?

I have a 2yr old son and no one really to care for him when I go into labor with our second child. I have one relative who can come into town and assist, and I wondered about having an induction during that time? I've heard about having an induction and I was just curious about the whole process and how many have had this done other than for medical reasons?

I am going to purchase a home pregnancy test (First Response; if you have a better brand referral please let me know). But I went to the bathroom several times already this morning. I don't want to "waste" a test (in the event I don't have enough urine) so should I drink alot of water to help me go to the bathroom or just wait until I really feel the urge to go?

Also the directions online for First Response says that I can either urinate on the stick or do it in a cup then put the test in. Anyone have advice on which way to try?

I started my period on nov. 28 and lost my virginity on dec. 7 (cycle day 10), and I usually have about a 29 to 30 day cycle. We didn't use protection, but he pulled out. I was really scared so I took the "plan b" pill about 25 hours later. So my first question is what do you think the chances of me being pregnant is? Also after we had intercourse I bled until about he 10th, but it was never heavy, it was just when I wiped. But then on the night of dec. 12th I had a brownish discharge followed by some blood but not much. Is that normal after having intercourse for the first time? I heard that there can be implanation discharge/bleeding but it is rare. Im so scared. Answers would be appreciated greatly.
Also...If anyone has ever taken the "plan b" pill, could you give me some feedback as to whether it worked or not and how long after intercourse you took it? I know its personal but I could really use the extra information if possible.
