We had been trying for a relatively short time, and my husband insisted, even before I had missed my cycle, that I was pregnant. I got off late one night from work and decided to buy a test. I was so excited that I ran into the bedroom with my pants around my ankles jumping up and down yelling we are pregnant we are pregnant. It was midnight and it immediately woke him up! We both fell asleep that night holding our little one.

Great story! That is awesome!
Mine is not quite so romantic. I am a field biologist and unfortunately, got injured out looking at some streams and wetlands. We actually thought my knee was broken! Well, the docs wanted to do an MRI and the X-Rays and I said to them, "I think I may be pregnant." So, they had me take a test and they said, "No. Sorry. You're not." I just looked at my husband and winked and said, "Don't you worry. I am and I'll make sure they shield me." The end of the month, I took a home pregnancy test and sure enough! It was positive! When I came into the kitchen with the little "stick," I said to my hubby "I love it when I'm right and the doctor's wrong!" He of course looks at me, looks at the stick and says, "What does this mean? I don't have the key!!" LOL I told him the 2 lines meant we were preggers! His response..."NO S**T!!!" It was great! Even better than that, was our "discussion" about starting a family. I sat on the couch and said, "Do you want to start trying for kids anytime soon?" He said, "Sure." And we went back to watching the ball game! LOL He is a man of very few words! =)
Congratulations and I love your story!!

Mine was, Hey listen you knocked me up, even though the doctors had told me that it wasn't possible and I would never have children. Yes, its yours, I haven't been with anyone else. No! abortion is out of the question. I've waited 15 years and went through two husbands waiting for this to happen. This IS a miracle. I know you said you don't want children, but I felt you deserved to know. I don't expect anything from you, but wanted to give you the chance to decide for yourself. If you are in-you are in and the child will have your name if that's what you want...if not-then your not and the child will take my last name. There will be NO in between. My or our child will NOT hurt because of a absentee father who is not around when they say they will be. So, take some time think about it and let me know if you are on board or not. Its your choice, nor will I pass judgment on you for your choice.

Well when I got pregnant I was always very sleepy. I had thought that going to work and school was taking it toll on me. I would wake up at 4am and would not get home from school/work until like 10. But after his birthday (Dec 19) All I wanted to do was sleep and I was very happy that I was on winter break cause that is ALL I did.
He joked around saying that I was pregnant. But of course I just thought I was over worked. But curious I took the test and sure enough I was. I fell off the toilet. (Haha) I told him on New Year's Day at 12:01am, That next year we would have another little person to share our New Year with. He picked me up and hugged me so tight, bent down and kissed my belly and cried. We where planning our wedding had to move the date up. So on Feb 14, 2005 at our reception we announced that we would all be hearing the pitter pat of little feet very soon. And everyone screamed and cried it was great.

When we were dating my husband told me that he wanted to marry the mother of his children The day I found out I bought several bridal magazines and start reading them in bed that night. He asked whose getting married. I said "I am". He said "oh yeah" and that was it. We didn't talk about it for a couple of days. Then he surprised me with my ring and said this isn't just b/c you are pregnant. It's b/c I can't imagine anyone but u in my life.

You have a very sweet story, thanks for sharing!
I told my husband I thought I could be pregnant, so he was with me when I took the test. I peed on the stick, set it down and we both left the bathroom. Then he said he had to pee and went back in the bathroom...he said to me, "Uh, there are 2 lines here!" So he actually told me!

My husband has told me I was pregnant. I was nausea and mooding and he just said I think you are pregnant, I took a test and sure enough I was. He knew before me, just because I was so busy taking care of our son it never crossed my mind.

wow. that is the greatest story i've ever heard. i have one, but its not as cool as that....actually mine isnt cool at all. lol. but congrats to you anyways. but wow. i didnt do anything special to tell my bf. we had seats in our livingroom and a little table between them. i just put the pregnancy test on the little table and sat down to watch tv like i usually do in the morning...and he comes walking in, sat in his favorite seat and he saw it. lol i was nervous, im sure that smile i had was really dumb looking lol. he kept asking me *is this right? are you pregnant? is this right?* i kept saying yes but he had to check the instructions for the test anyways LOL!! we hugged and everything but from that point on he treated me like im some kinda glass. he was careful about everything. kinda drove me crazy but its sweet, and plus he treated me to sundae almost everyday *almost* lol. i think hes been in shock every since he saw the test. even though i have a feeling he knew i was pregnant before i did...i didnt notice any changes, but he said i looked tired all the time. but wow i love your story. lol congrats.
love jen.

I have devised a good way to tell my mom but I don't know if I will be able to hold it back long enough to tell her. I got a frame that says, "I love GRANDMA" It is all cute and heart shaped and I will put the ultrasound picture in it and give it to her.
