well make a app, then the doctors will have you do another test to be sure, then they will schedual another appointment at week 12. They normaly wait until week 12 because if a miscarrage is going to happen, it will happen before week 12. (most of the time) Then they will begin to see you once a month, for blod work, monitoring, and other great things. it is all reallly simple.

If you plan to see a doctor this is where you go to your family doctor who says "I don't doooo prenatal care" and sends you to an OB, then you interview the OB and find out if it is a good fit, if not you keep looking. You do not have your first appointment until 12weeks but you should INTERVIEW OBs before then.

Ideally, of course you should have an OB or waaaaaaay better a midwife before then so you know that they are what you are looking for. And the more informed you are about labour and pregnancy the better, because there are many schools of thought on it.

Make a doctor's apointment, they will confirm with a blood test. Start taking prenatal vitamines. Stop drinking, smoking, etc. Tell your husband. I wouldnt' do too much else since the miscarriage rate is higher then you'd like to think, so i'd wait until after your 3rd month to really do any more preparations.

Make a doctors appt and start taking prenatal vitamins which you can get without a prescription at a drugstore. Other then that, go out and eat!! And enjoy your free time left with your hubby lol!

Well in my particular case it was 1-tell my husband, 2-go to the health clinic for a blood test, 3-leak the info to our parents. I went to the clinic right away because in military they keep track of that stuff, plus I had to be referred to the economy for an OB since we don't have any working at the clinic.

Each GP surgery and there procedures are slightly different. When you call the surgery after doing a positive test they book you an appointment to see the midwife. The midwife then takes it from there and you see her and get you hospital scan dates through the post. Good luck xx

Most Dr's want you wait until your 10 days past due for your period. After you get a positive test there, they will have you set up your first OBGYN appt.
